I have wanted to make a backpack for awhile and when I saw this video I knew I had to have it. My husband is in a wheelchair now when he goes anywhere. I have to push it so I needed to be hands free. I hope I don’t have any problems with this. Thanks for always being so clear with your instructions.
The in depth tutorial and the great price on the pattern made be buy this one! Thank you so much - I have 6 grandkids and I'm going to shoot for Christmas!
Just purchased the pattern. Although I have not had any luck with the binding on the projects, I have tried I am going to give it another chance. This looks like i just might have a bit of good luck. Love the size. Thanks for the tutorial!!!
Great tutorial been looking for a back pack to make but have not felt comfortable with others yet as I am sort of new to this. After watching you I feel I can make this one 🙃
I loved this video. So many steps. Can the steps be reduced if we use double sided prequilted fabric and serger the liner instead of a binding? Might be a good idea for another video. Thanks for sharing your video
No I did not. I actually purchased Juki 1541s a few years before the Sailrite. I just never used the Juki in videos before. They are both good machines.
Gusset prep question. I'm rather confused. You instruct to cut 1/8" from the short ends of the foam pieces, and then state there will be a 1/4" shortage on both sides. But if I trim 1/8" from both sides, I've only trimmed a total of 1/4" and not 1/2" needed to have a 1/4" shortage. Should I trim 1/4" instead of 1/8"?

Love your videos. What sewing machine are you using in this video?
Hello Rosie! Can you share where you purchased this vinyl please,
Did you replace the Sailrite machine with the Juki? Curious which one you prefer for bagmaking

Cut 1/4” from each end of the foam. The written instructions for the foam preparation
are in the pdf pattern.
Binding question: is the fabric cut on the bias for bias binding or is it (as it appears) to be cut on the straight of grain for binding?
It is bias binding. The written instructions for the binding are in the pdf pattern.
What foot are you using in the machine and is that necessary for the vinyl fabric?
All I have near me is a joann's. Will they have all the products needed for this?
Where can i get the pattern from?
There is a link in the description below the video to purchase the pattern.
