Lon! There is a clock capacitor in the original Xbox has a habit of exploding when the Xbox is plugged in after being dormant for a long time. It's infamous for corroding the mother board and ruining everything. You may want to open it up to make sure that's not happening!
So far I think the fact that these controllers have pressure sensitivity for the original system adapters, is what gives controllers like these an edge over what 8BitDo usually offers, since unfortunately the 8BitDo controllers do not have pressure sensitivity on the face buttons for any of their controllers, and some games from the 6th gen consoles such as the PS2, did rely on that pressure sensitivity.
The bumpiness in the d-pad might be dome switches which are more common in controllers now. I have dome switches in the d-pads of both my Retroid Pocket 3+ and Retroid Pocket 5. Rubber membrane technology is what you're probably used to which is the technology that's in the original SNES controller d-pads. I don't love dome switches especially if they require a lot of force to press. The clickiness breaks my immersion.
Oh, a precaution for the original Xbox. I know you probably already know that the original Xbox compasitor lifespan is very sort, and most have already ruptured due to microsoft installing cheap compasitor parts at the time. If not, I highly recommend your xbox to be serviced right away before they leak and eat up the circuit board.

Ooh thanks for the heads up I will investigate!
Why does the Dreamcast one have extra buttons and no Joystick? Why do all manufactures mess up the Dreamcast controllers?
This is a gamepad for people who are looking for one - they have more traditional dreamcast controllers too.

Hated that the wave bird didn't have rumble, but you needed rumble for wind waker.
WOW I did not know the original Xbox had pressure sensitive buttons like the PS2 did.
Oooooooohhh. Nice retro haul.
Lon the game cube controller can be used on the wiiu ?
Yes I think you need an adapter but they do list compatibility with the Wii U
Why are the buttons so big on the D6?

Retro Fighters PS3 controller is by far the best available for the system. I never use my Sixaxis anymore.
No stick on the DC controller so I'll be skipping it
I don't think i've used a Retro Fighters controller that didn't have a d-pad that wasn't absolute dogshit. Like they're so consistently bad.
