Interesting video. I do it in another way. One plastic freesbee, glued a round peace of 10 mm plywood that covers the whole bottom of it for stability and strengt. Then a smaller round plate of 10 mm plywood, about 10-15 cm wide. Then I made a round headbase of tree round 10 mm plywood plates, that I screwed and glued in the middle. One whole, and two formed as rings, that made it hollow. They are about 7 cm wide. Then a round removel top plate on top of the base, with a 3/8 screw fixed from the inside. I then screw it down with tree wooden screw, but no glue. Then Im able to loosen it later on, if I need to. Im using a gimbal head, and sometimes a panning base with a Manfrotto 234 2-ways head on top. Works fine with both.
Great video. Can you please give the size of the screw and washers you have used? If you can provide a link from home depot or Lowes for them will help us 🙂.
