      Perfect solution for PDR business! I've been doing the same thing, in my small community only major dents rate repair and less noticeable is key. Most of my tools are home brew. I don't have pics but my bridge puller is built using garage door opener linkage. Don't laugh it works.
      I'm subscribed keepem coming!!

    This is James. Thanks for showing the items used to do this type of repair. Keep doing videos. I listened to your story of how you started and mine is almost identical to yours. I taught myself also. I do everything I can as well but I need these type of tools and items but I didn’t want to buy stuff I didn’t need. I have been pushing for 1yr now and I love it I have done a repair like this with pdr tools alone but it wasn’t as good as yours. So again thanks

      Hey James. It was good speaking with you yesterday! Keep up practicing and buy the tools as you need them for special situations and grow your set from there. Do like Jay said and buy what you will use most at first and expand from there. Soon enough you’ll have a great bag of tools.

    Went to look at you glue pulling tower gone. Still looked great, from what I see of the tower bed frames and looks easy build. I like the winch idea too. Nice repair.

    It's perfect in the customers eyes because he got an insurance check for about two thousand dollars for replacing the bed side and paint, who wouldn't be happy with all that money in their pockets!!!

    Excellent approach & technic to successfully complete this repair. Classic body & fender action of pressure on the low areas while simultaneously lightly working the crowns in your sped up video ... This is an excellent training video on many levels! ... sez: grandaddy-O

    Next time pull straight back, watch Marty Runnick. Top gun PDR videos.His homemade glue on hook and your setup would have pulled it mostly in one pull maybe.

    • @DentBaron
      @DentBaron  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s a great idea! I don’t have anything that will allow me to make a pull like that, but I guess I can make one like he did. thanks for the input

      Those deep creases that are flowing past/through a bodyline.. if you set up your pull just on the inside of each of the crowns and lateral tension (towards the rear of truck right before the tailight) itll give that deep crease somewhere to go. Couple clicks on each jumping back & forth from your tab to lateral tension you will seriously save yourself time. But you have good eye & you know what works for you. That's night & day & like you said bro.. its not about 100% all the time..its about what the customer wants & at a price they can afford without shooting yourself in the foot.

      I really appreciate the feedback and advice. That is something I will put into play on the next pull with similar damage.

      Yes lesson learned there. this video is how I learned of lateral tension pull. Another person commented about it. We all learn from each other. Thanks

    When ever the customer say to me "that's perfect" after the first 30 minutes I tell him: would you like to pay me half of what we agreed and I will stop here? That saves a lot of time 😅, and every one is happy.
