There was a cheesy movie years ago called Teeth. It was so bad it was actually good; and there were some good laugh out loud moments in it. btw, Rachel Shades of Orange recommended your channel. Now subscribed.
Delurking for the first time to say: Spoilers "vagina kaiju fight club for furious women" made me laugh out loud, and also convinced me to put this book on my TBR list. You have some of the absolute best turns of phrase - thank you!
I'm not sure this kind of tale would interest me, but I appreciate your enthusiasm in being mindful of new authors and storyline ideas! Truth be told, I like booktubers (like you) that make an effort to examine and review newer authors and their works.
Great video as ever, you are always so good at speaking to the content of a book enough to build interest, without spoiling. This book sounds like a lot of fun, will add to my to-read on the storygraph.
Hey I left the Newark area a little while ago this is their own problem- oh good lord this is some body horror! I remember seeing real life cases of bodies growing teeth where they don’t belong This sounds like a very exciting book by its concept
this sounds very interesting! would you say that it is very bio-essentialist or does it feel trans inclusive? based on your review im hoping for the latter but wanted to ask!
To be fair I probably could have mentioned this more directly. But the themes that the book deals with, such as the loss of ownership of your own body, are ones I believe are meant to resonate especially strongly with all readers who identify as women.
The cover art by Matt Olson is absolutely hysterical. I know the book is serious but Wink’s facial expression is just killing me

The lawsuit and evil pharma corp reminds me strongly of Orphan Black.

The author is trans so, yes, I’d say so. 🙂
