    Thank you! I'm just getting into saddle hunting and was wondering how to secure my platform and steps to my saddle. This is simple, easy to make and looks effective. Today will be my first day in a saddle.

    I’ve been looking for an easier way to haul sticks up and down the tree, this is perfect!

    Had to watch other video's on the cobra knot but great video and information. They work great. I made longer ones to strap my sticks together.

      Yeah, it’s an easy knot once you figure it out. I’ll try and make some more hunting accessories with it this winter, I’ve got some antler totes I like to make with a cobra knot too

    Thumb's Up for the GSP alone!! Good video. Just getting saddle gear to prepare for Fall 2022.

    Nice, simple, and cost affective. Thanks for sharing....

      @jhillyt, I saw some guys making them on Etsy and charging too much for something that takes less then five mins to make. Already knew how to do a cobra knot, pretty simple to make, glad you could get some good use as well 👍🏻 they definitely help me climb a tree hands free

    Really like the video! Would suggest you slow down when starting to do the black rope loops. It is difficult to see, and I got lost in what you were doing. Your hands hide what is happening. I think it is great what you are doing and I am not trying to be negative!! Just a suggestion, because I think you are losing people. All the best... keep helping people!!!!!

    Instead of a simple double over hand knot, I like to tie a diamond knot as the stopper knot. It makes a fatter knot, and looks truly finished.

    really hard for me to understand what your doing from this perspective, but I'm a bit slow ;). would have been great of you could have been an over the shoulder view of this.

      @robert B Curry, I’ll do some more videos with the same knot. It’s called a cobra knot, there’s a lot of videos on it on TH-cam if you need a better vantage point. I planned on doing a video on making shed totes but it’s a little late now. I use the cobra knot for those as well

      @@thestompinggroundsofficial I noticed the same thing, it's difficult to see what exactly you're doing with the knot because there's not much contrast in the colors and it's not close enough to see and with the editing out of what you're doing in the beginning. I looked up cobra knots to no avail wth this slider type and how to start it

      Agreed. Very difficult to follow along with the camera angle and video splices. That said, I really appreciate the video and will look up the cobra knot.

    But how do the sticks not make noise by banging together

    • @thestompinggroundsofficial
      @thestompinggroundsofficial  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @matthewbowman6584 I actually switched to a 3 pack tethrd one sticks with aiders but I never had much of a noise problem with the muddy pros, just really bulky. I used stealth stripping on the tethrd one sticks to help out with the noise. They seem to be pretty loud straight from the box

    What type/size rope mods are you running with your sticks?

    • @thestompinggroundsofficial
      @thestompinggroundsofficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @jonathan myers, it’s just a simple cobra knot. There are how to videos on TH-cam that probably do a better job of explaining it
