This is The legend of Mr Twardowski from XVI century - he made a pact with the devil to grant his all wishes for one year, then his soul goes straight to hell. Twardowski tricked the devil cause he had clause added that the devil can only take his soul in Rome and he wasn't going to visit Rome at all. But the devil eventually cought him in a tavern called "Rome" and was trying to take him to hell. Twardowski prayed to Saint Mary and it caused devil to take the wrong route and Twardowski ended up on the moon - where he still is :)

Interesting fact. The space suit worn by the main character was borrowed for the film by the American space agency NASA. Twardowsky wears an authentic space suit in the film 🙂👍
