Mumbai is the Financial capital and yet these farmers/village folk live in such extreme poverty is absolutely shameful. Greedy politicians looking after themselves with good housing salaries drivers cars and all the perks. Surely people must protest and get equality and social justice.

I have been to Baramati thrice and i can from my experience say that the entire area, it's business activities and it's societal structure is heavily controlled and influenced by the Pawar family.
Nothing major happens there without their direct involvement.

The educational institutes also equally culprit. We don't study what issues in India and how to reslove. How many solutions that an IIT will produce in front of you if you prodice this question in front of them? We study what is good for the Westwern countries.....
When i was 7-8 years old i was hearing people are not getting clean drinking water across Maharashtra's villages now i am 24 years old seems no efforts taken to improve the situation. So does that mean people who are living in city are facing no water shortage? Not really. I live in Chh. Sambhajinagar (previously Aurangabad) here we receive water from our tap every 7-8 days and more importantly not on time. Sometimes we get polluted water too. We have raised our concerns several times but no action has taken. This is not a imminent problem, it is already upon us.

These are just excuses. Modi as Gujarat CM took Narmada water to farthest parts of Kutch which is literally desert. There was little cooperation between Centre & Gujarat back then.

Grow more sugarcane for politicians sugar factories. The chronology goes like this way. Politicians gove lollipop of sugarcane price to farmers, then they grow only water consuming sugarcane, then they sell for politicians owned sugar factories. If any bad season then farmers will cry for loan relief. Then the co-operative societies give loan waiver then factories go in loss and then auctioned.
This is how comgress-ncp played sugarcane politics in west maharashtra.
Mostly Sugar factory Belongs to Sharad Pawar family members &as well as Co.operative own by Pawar . that's why Pawar Dominates on Farmers. this must be Change this time

Any village can solve water problem through water budgeting, local harvesting through collaboration,training etc .village level leadership is the solution to this. Cost
Draught happens, nothing unearthly about it. Just dig tanks, rain water harvesting and build check dams. The time is right now as when the rain comes earth work will be difficult.
Govt should bear the cost of this Janai-shirsai scheme,,, as the cost of running scheme is too high that, only big corporates can pay such hefty bills.
