I have a idea for halts origin. After ava's family dissapeered she looked everywhere for them . She walked up and down the hallways looking for clues. Eventually she fell through the floor and ended up in the void. She asked where is her family and the void said that to meet her family she had to make a deal with the void. The deal was she would turn into a monster chasing people up and down hallways. Ava accepted the deal and was turned into halt.

Dan being a single father trying to protect his kid while in the void is very wholesome, although he has millions of kids, i guarantee he will never forget Joey and Ava.
Theory for rush and ambush backstory: There are 2 criminals, one that rushes through banks and the other that ambushes the guards coming after the one that rushes. One day they try to rob the hotel and get stuck in the void after trying to rob the big library. The no named person turns them into 2 different monsters with a similar ability to what they did as criminals.
Idea for screech. A girl called Amelia is in an insane asylum who constantly hears whispers in her head. She cowers in the corners of dark rooms because she thinks that if the whispers can’t see her then they can’t hurt her. One day when she's hiding in a corner she gets sucked into the void, where she is cursed to forever be isolated with herself (because that is what she wants) but, to always be the whisper that tormented her. , she ends up being so scared of herself that she lurks in dark rooms and whenever a player walks in, she asks for help, but since she is forced to be isolated, she will kill them unintentionally until them noticing her throws her away.
This is relatable because they’re playing hide & seek, and both of them were named hide & seek. It’s still relatable that the hider becomes hide and the seeker becomes seek.
Plot twist: all the eyes that you see near seek are wanderers who were killed by seek and now taken in by seek and the reason he does it is because he wants to overcome his grief of losing his family by making a new one
That might actually be true because: If someone dies to Seek, their body turns into Seek’s one. You can see this for yourself if someone dies to Seek in spectate mode.
Theory for Shadow: Shadow was Ava, a week after Dan and Joey turned into Seek and Hide, The house set on fire, and Ava could only see smoke, but she thought it was just the shadows until she realized there was a fire. She ran into her bedroom but then she realized that she was going to die, so she stayed at the front of the room, but fainted. And she woke up in the void. But unlike Joey and Dan, she made friends with void. And she became Shadow, since shadows and the void are both black. But, she didn’t want to harm anybody… AAAAA MY BRAIN IS DEAD

Theory for Window: Three days after Dan and Joey turned into monsters, Ava became very shy and worried about her dad and brother. One day she started staring at windows, day to night, hoping one day her dad and brother would come back. She continuously stared at windows, and day after day, Ava was even more thinking that Joey and Dan wouldn’t come back. One day, while she was staring at the window, she got dragged from the window into the void. The void told her that she would be a smiling face that could be seen outside a window.
hide more like claustrophobia than a physical or non physical entity edit : hide is Claustrophobia then why he can kick you out of an closet because the player want to leave it (be cause the player have claustrophobia) and the damage hide deal more like emotional damage
I have a theory, and this is inspired by another one in a different video, so ava was done with her homework and found it strange that they've been oddly quiet and didn't come back yet. She went to the basement to check on them herself and was in shock when she saw the black smokes.. she didn't have any time to think anything and went in to check if joey and dad were okay, and she got sucked into the void. The void told her she might find joey and dad here so she agreed. However, she was not playing it as she was supposed to as a monster (like going after the player and stuff) so she got a punishment for it, the sides of her mouth were cut and that's why she always looked like she was smiling even if she was not. She was desperately trying to find them.. she thought they still might be playing hide and seek and she checked the dark rooms, she was screaming but nobody ever came for her or listened to her so that's when she got desperate and panicked, she found out her voice was really low unless when she screamed (but people found that annoying and didn't pay much attention to her, that triggered her and as a result she started biting them to get their attention)
Also I want to add more to the story, so whenever any person passed through a dark room she went up to them to find out if they are joey or dad and called out to them, but if they didn't listen she would bite them and if you turned around and looked she would get jumscared (because she wasn't expecting that) and then dissapear because she found out you're not the person she's looking for
Theory: Joey had a best friend (idk the name) that went out at night to leave his house and look for Joey after he disappeared and stumbled into the Hotel, he for some reason went in it and looked for him but found a closet and decided to go in it because he was scared, but then hide/joey kicked him out and didn’t realize it was his best friend and eventually killed him, the void turned him into Jack and hide and Jack were together again
My fanmade seek origin: A 12 year old kid called Siyk (the reason he's named that is because his parents wanted to give him the most unique name ad possible) and he love to play hide and seek alot but when he was hiding from his parents as they were playing a game of hide and seek his parent died from shooters and Siyk was terrified but all his grief and anger he grabbed a knife and his dad's sniper rifle and began chasing the shooters down and the shooters were scared as they knew Siyk could catch up to them and that's exactly what Siyk did was catch up to them and killed them brutally and dragged them to a molten metal warehouse and threw their bodies in the molten metal and Siyk wnet back home but since his parents were rich he organized a hotel plan for the residents of 👁ville and his plan was successful but when he was writing blue prints a piece of re bar fell of his head slicing it open and killing g him but something took him under and he was brought back to life but as an inky , oily monster and his since he like to play hide and seek he changed his name to Seek and he now chases anyone who gets into the hotel without caution and since he does that he feels fun out of it as it reminds him of the fun he had killing his parents murderers as he took the sweet revenge he wanted and that revenge was him never letting another person die the same fate his parents did and most of those people invited to his hotel were murderers of residents of 👁 Ville and to this day he lurks the hotel waiting for his next meal and his next chase

So basically: Joey is *Hide* and he kicks players out of the closest's so they don't have to meet the same faith as him. And Dan is *Seek* (with horrible jokes lol) who yells in almost *every single* episode that " *I HAVE CHILDREN TO FEED, MILLIONS OF THEM* " and feeds the eyes cause they remind him of Ava, and Joey
Theory about seek chasing you: He always wants to meet new people as he is now seperated from his former children, but due to the fact that he was cursed into being a monster he is controlled and forced into chasing the player and kill them, this could also be why there are guiding lights from well, The Guiding Lights but to be honest they are also in dark rooms so i cannot say that. The eyes in the rooms before seek is a warning of Dan/Seek that he will chase you.
Fun fact: hide is actually seek, no one noticed it. when seek gets angry then he starts to chase instead of pushing people out, if someone hides in a wardrobe, seek will teleport into the wardrobe, and push him (or she) out.

I have a backstory idea for Screech. There was a child named Samuel. He was kinda a small trickster. He liked wandering inside dark rooms for the fun of it and likes scaring people. Mostly as a prank. One day, he and his parents, Adam and Kath, go to a hotel to stay. His parents warned Samuel not to do anything dangerous but he didn't listen. He ended up walking in a suspicious dark room carelessly. When he finished exploring, He tried to get out, but one problem... *The door was closed shut, and he could barely even open it.* He struggled and tried to open the door harder, until he heard a "Psst" and got knocked out. He got transported to the void, and the void told Samuel that he would come back as a monster halfly covered in black, with teeth, white glowing eyes and numerous black horns. The void then told him he would taunt the players with a "Psst" and forcefully make them look at him or they will get attacked by him, and last but not least... His new name was "Screech". He got transformed and.... The end. Let me know if this is a good idea. :)

Rush and ambush origin (This also kinda links to previous backstories due to prologue) 2 people named Nathan and Ryan (Nathan is Ambush and Ryan is Rush), They would constantly burst into random rooms running around in places, Nathan would go back and forth a lot and Ryan would run really fast through one room in a straight line, one time their family booked a hotel and they did the same thing but, they would run so fast the lights flicker and they lost track of where they were going. They eventually kept running in circles until they fainted, they woke up in the void and ??? offered them to be what they wanted to be, but reincarnated, however they would never see their family again. Idk my fanmade backstory about Hide: There was a young-adult (18) woman who works as a cashier and lives in a hotel, one day she got into the elevator on the hotel she lives and pressed a button, but the elevator leads her to an unknown place. She entered a few doors (Rush was not present that time) but few rooms later she's started seeing eyes on the walls and begun increasing each door she opens. As she enters the next door it led her to a long hallway with no eyes, she thought she was safe and was about to open the next door until a black figure long way behind her started coming out of that black ink or idk that is then started running towards her. She began panicking and opened the door aggressively and entered a few doors dodging those things that blocked her way, then a large bookshelf hit her and landed on the legs and now she can't run or get up 💀She quickly looks around and found a wardrobe, so she crawled to the wardrobe and hid in there, she was so terrified she didn't wanna get out of the wardrobe, since that entity is still looking for her and screaming. Days have passed and that thing still looking for her, her sanity decreases and slowly became insane (a spirit or idk made her feel that way). Now years have passed and now she's an entity itself, pushing people off the wardrobe if they stayed there a bit long means their disrespecting her space to the Entity. Tragic story amayright 😔😔
Doors multiplayer but instead of everyone being the player, 1 person is the player, and others are the monsters (more players if people>ammount of monsters) Rush you get prompted to appear at a room sometimes Ambush rush but gets more common overtime Screech You sometimes get to appear in a dark room, when you appear you are far away, and get progressivly closer. When about to attack, you make the psst sound. Timothy You get to pick a drawer to spawn in once in 10 rooms, id not found, once in 5 rooms. Jack when a door is opened, there is a 1/20 chance you get to be in a closet, and a 1/2000 chance to make a red room Halt You get to choose when to turn around, however, you are forced to make the player to frontwards when they have been walking for atleast 10 seconds backwards, then you wait 15 seconds to go infront again. You can also flash the screen with the run message once in 5 seconds Figure You cant see, when a sound is made, you get an arrow for a few seconds that tells you where to go. Also, you dont have to lock yourself in door 98 during room 100, but you cant enter the power room. Seek You get to chase the player, you also get to choose which path is correct on the 2nd chase. (You dont play as: Shadow, Window, Hide, Glich as they simply wouldnt be fun to play as. Eyes and Hide have changes to them to make them playable, find then below this) Eyes As the eyes, you will randomly spawn in a room. However, unlike the regular eyes, you will be able to move around. (No teleport prompt, just moving slowly) however you wont be able to move when looked at, as you will be attacking instead. Hide As hide, you wait for a player to get in the closet, where you slowly advance kicking-out stages. (You also see the player's POV) You will be able to do a minigame, (probably similar to the room 50 closet but harder) which will speed up the process of you kicking them out, upon failing it however, you will no longer be able to use the minigame. Please tell me if i missed an entity!
Some random part 2 I guess: Ava goes down the basement and sees the liquid and joey and Dan are nowhere to be found. Ava calls the police and the police search for an hour but Dan and joey have disappeared. Ava comes across a HUGE hotel alone and goes in it and she explores until she encounters rush. Rush goes zooming past and Ava gets pushed out by Hide. But hide recognises her but can't speak or move. Ava makes it to door 38 and encounters seek. Seek can't recognise Ava so seek chases her. Ava escapes Seek and she thinks to herself "what was that..?". Then she meets Eyes "EW YOU UGLY GLOB I CANT LOOK AT YOU YOUR SO UGLY IT DAMAGES ME!"says Ava. Then she meets Figure "what the he-" "ROARRRRRR". After escaping Figure she meets Seek again. "OH MY NOT AGAIN!" Said Ava as she was running for her life. Ava escapes Seek and goes to room 98 and she finds a green liquid. But then rush appears so Ava holds the green liquid in her hand and it chops a piece out of rush but sends Ava to the void. "Welcome to the void." "Where am I?" "Didn't you hear me i said the void" "oh well let me out please" "no" "yes" "I said no". "LET ME OUT" "I will,but you have to become a monster." "Um what?" "I will make you a green faster version of rush." "Whos rush?" "The fat black glob with a trollface" "ok" "goodbye Ava...or should I call you Ambush..." End of story.
When I first read up to 1:24 I thought Joey was seek running so fast to his father and when he turn into a monster all the players are appearing to look like his father so he is chasing us at full speed

i have a theory that ava will become screech since screech and seek both have the black-ish goop on them. as for hide, no one knows what it looks like, so we can only guess unless the devs give us a look into what hide looks like. i have a couple theories, but i'll try to combine them all. so ava was still doing her homework and when she was done, she called for joey and dan since they had been gone for a long time but they didn't respond. she looked around but didn't find anyone. then she decided to call them using the phone but they didn't pick up. she then was about to call 911 but then she saw her school bullies doing something in her front yard. she decided to see what was going on, maybe they had something to do with her family's disappearance. she was about to go outside, but then she saw they were burning the house. she tried to look for an exit that wasn't blocked by the fire but she was trapped. even worse, the bullies added oil so the fire burned faster. eventually the fire got to her and she let out a blood curling scream. the bullies heard it, and maybe they didn't think anyone was home, because they suddenly looked scared and ran away. eventually ava died there and entered the void. the void said that if she was too leave she would have to change, but she didn't leave for a long time and got used to the dark. eventually, she became to sensitive to light and eventually the void got tired of her and sent her out anyway as a spider-like creature. she could see in the dark thanks to her glowing eyes and her mission was to scare people who enter her dark rooms. if you look at her, she would go away because she didn't want you to look at her, it reminded her of her bullies, and if you had a light source, she wouldn't attack you as she was traumatised of fire and she became sensitive to light. i know i said i would combine them but i basically just made a new theory lol, and if you read to the end, congrats :) cuz i basically wrote an essay lol
Idea for Screech (2 Theories) Theory 1: A family of tarantulas have a missing child. How did the tarantula get lost? Possibly, they went to the void by going through an unknown crawlspace that the other tarantulas dared him. They soon all go looking for him but the tarantula is in the void. As the tarantula wanted freedom from the void, they get turned into a monster aka Screech. Theory 2: Maybe a young child (5-6 of age) was hiding from a criminal in a house. As the child was looking for something, his wardrobe had the same effect as Hide. As he got took in the void, he was very nervous and hates to be stared at. When the Void thought of an idea, the child was gullible enough to take the offer for freedom but then was taken into the Hotel and turned into a monster. I think this is why screech acts like that in the videos.

That might actually be true because: If someone dies to Seek, their body turns into Seek’s one. You can see this for yourself if someone dies to Seek in spectate mode.
Theory for Shadow: Shadow was Ava, a week after Dan and Joey turned into Seek and Hide, The house set on fire, and Ava could only see smoke, but she thought it was just the shadows until she realized there was a fire. She ran into her bedroom but then she realized that she was going to die, so she stayed at the front of the room, but fainted. And she woke up in the void. But unlike Joey and Dan, she made friends with void. And she became Shadow, since shadows and the void are both black. But, she didn’t want to harm anybody…

Theory for Window:
Three days after Dan and Joey turned into monsters, Ava became very shy and worried about her dad and brother.
One day she started staring at windows, day to night, hoping one day her dad and brother would come back.
She continuously stared at windows, and day after day, Ava was even more thinking that Joey and Dan wouldn’t come back.
One day, while she was staring at the window, she got dragged from the window into the void.
The void told her that she would be a smiling face that could be seen outside a window.
Oooh I like this!
And she would be able to watch her father in action, but not do anything about it. Man these theories are great!

I have a theory, and this is inspired by another one in a different video, so ava was done with her homework and found it strange that they've been oddly quiet and didn't come back yet. She went to the basement to check on them herself and was in shock when she saw the black smokes.. she didn't have any time to think anything and went in to check if joey and dad were okay, and she got sucked into the void. The void told her she might find joey and dad here so she agreed. However, she was not playing it as she was supposed to as a monster (like going after the player and stuff) so she got a punishment for it, the sides of her mouth were cut and that's why she always looked like she was smiling even if she was not. She was desperately trying to find them.. she thought they still might be playing hide and seek and she checked the dark rooms, she was screaming but nobody ever came for her or listened to her so that's when she got desperate and panicked, she found out her voice was really low unless when she screamed (but people found that annoying and didn't pay much attention to her, that triggered her and as a result she started biting them to get their attention)

Also I want to add more to the story, so whenever any person passed through a dark room she went up to them to find out if they are joey or dad and called out to them, but if they didn't listen she would bite them and if you turned around and looked she would get jumscared (because she wasn't expecting that) and then dissapear because she found out you're not the person she's looking for
Theory: Joey had a best friend (idk the name) that went out at night to leave his house and look for Joey after he disappeared and stumbled into the Hotel, he for some reason went in it and looked for him but found a closet and decided to go in it because he was scared, but then hide/joey kicked him out and didn’t realize it was his best friend and eventually killed him, the void turned him into Jack and hide and Jack were together again

My fanmade seek origin: A 12 year old kid called Siyk (the reason he's named that is because his parents wanted to give him the most unique name ad possible) and he love to play hide and seek alot but when he was hiding from his parents as they were playing a game of hide and seek his parent died from shooters and Siyk was terrified but all his grief and anger he grabbed a knife and his dad's sniper rifle and began chasing the shooters down and the shooters were scared as they knew Siyk could catch up to them and that's exactly what Siyk did was catch up to them and killed them brutally and dragged them to a molten metal warehouse and threw their bodies in the molten metal and Siyk wnet back home but since his parents were rich he organized a hotel plan for the residents of 👁ville and his plan was successful but when he was writing blue prints a piece of re bar fell of his head slicing it open and killing g him but something took him under and he was brought back to life but as an inky , oily monster and his since he like to play hide and seek he changed his name to Seek and he now chases anyone who gets into the hotel without caution and since he does that he feels fun out of it as it reminds him of the fun he had killing his parents murderers as he took the sweet revenge he wanted and that revenge was him never letting another person die the same fate his parents did and most of those people invited to his hotel were murderers of residents of 👁 Ville and to this day he lurks the hotel waiting for his next meal and his next chase
Imagine this becomes official lore, including the book

So basically: Joey is *Hide* and he kicks players out of the closest's so they don't have to meet the same faith as him. And Dan is *Seek* (with horrible jokes lol) who yells in almost *every single* episode that " *I HAVE CHILDREN TO FEED, MILLIONS OF THEM* " and feeds the eyes cause they remind him of Ava, and Joey
Theory about seek chasing you: He always wants to meet new people as he is now seperated from his former children, but due to the fact that he was cursed into being a monster he is controlled and forced into chasing the player and kill them, this could also be why there are guiding lights from well, The Guiding Lights but to be honest they are also in dark rooms so i cannot say that. The eyes in the rooms before seek is a warning of Dan/Seek that he will chase you.
Fun fact: hide is actually seek, no one noticed it. when seek gets angry then he starts to chase instead of pushing people out, if someone hides in a wardrobe, seek will teleport into the wardrobe, and push him (or she) out.

I have a backstory idea for Screech. There was a child named Samuel. He was kinda a small trickster. He liked wandering inside dark rooms for the fun of it and likes scaring people. Mostly as a prank. One day, he and his parents, Adam and Kath, go to a hotel to stay. His parents warned Samuel not to do anything dangerous but he didn't listen. He ended up walking in a suspicious dark room carelessly. When he finished exploring, He tried to get out, but one problem...
*The door was closed shut, and he could barely even open it.*
He struggled and tried to open the door harder, until he heard a "Psst" and got knocked out.
He got transported to the void, and the void told Samuel that he would come back as a monster halfly covered in black, with teeth, white glowing eyes and numerous black horns.
The void then told him he would taunt the players with a "Psst" and forcefully make them look at him or they will get attacked by him, and last but not least...
His new name was "Screech".
He got transformed and....
The end.

2 people named Nathan and Ryan (Nathan is Ambush and Ryan is Rush), They would constantly burst into random rooms running around in places, Nathan would go back and forth a lot and Ryan would run really fast through one room in a straight line, one time their family booked a hotel and they did the same thing but, they would run so fast the lights flicker and they lost track of where they were going. They eventually kept running in circles until they fainted, they woke up in the void and ??? offered them to be what they wanted to be, but reincarnated, however they would never see their family again. Here's their dialogue throughout the part
Part 1: The Beginning
Nathan: I love running and going back and forth!
Ryan: Really, you like going back and forth? I get tired doing that. I'm fast though. 😎
Nathan: Ryan, you're such a boring person, I'm way cooler than you! 😒

There was a young-adult (18) woman who works as a cashier and lives in a hotel, one day she got into the elevator on the hotel she lives and pressed a button, but the elevator leads her to an unknown place. She entered a few doors (Rush was not present that time) but few rooms later she's started seeing eyes on the walls and begun increasing each door she opens. As she enters the next door it led her to a long hallway with no eyes, she thought she was safe and was about to open the next door until a black figure long way behind her started coming out of that black ink or idk that is then started running towards her. She began panicking and opened the door aggressively and entered a few doors dodging those things that blocked her way, then a large bookshelf hit her and landed on the legs and now she can't run or get up 💀She quickly looks around and found a wardrobe, so she crawled to the wardrobe and hid in there, she was so terrified she didn't wanna get out of the wardrobe, since that entity is still looking for her and screaming. Days have passed and that thing still looking for her, her sanity decreases and slowly became insane (a spirit or idk made her feel that way). Now years have passed and now she's an entity itself, pushing people off the wardrobe if they stayed there a bit long means their disrespecting her space to the Entity.

Doors multiplayer but instead of everyone being the player, 1 person is the player, and others are the monsters (more players if people>ammount of monsters)
Rush you get prompted to appear at a room sometimes
Ambush rush but gets more common overtime
Screech You sometimes get to appear in a dark room, when you appear you are far away, and get progressivly closer. When about to attack, you make the psst sound.
Timothy You get to pick a drawer to spawn in once in 10 rooms, id not found, once in 5 rooms.
Jack when a door is opened, there is a 1/20 chance you get to be in a closet, and a 1/2000 chance to make a red room
Halt You get to choose when to turn around, however, you are forced to make the player to frontwards when they have been walking for atleast 10 seconds backwards, then you wait 15 seconds to go infront again. You can also flash the screen with the run message once in 5 seconds
Figure You cant see, when a sound is made, you get an arrow for a few seconds that tells you where to go. Also, you dont have to lock yourself in door 98 during room 100, but you cant enter the power room.
Seek You get to chase the player, you also get to choose which path is correct on the 2nd chase.
(You dont play as: Shadow, Window, Hide, Glich as they simply wouldnt be fun to play as. Eyes and Hide have changes to them to make them playable, find then below this)
Eyes As the eyes, you will randomly spawn in a room. However, unlike the regular eyes, you will be able to move around. (No teleport prompt, just moving slowly) however you wont be able to move when looked at, as you will be attacking instead.
Hide As hide, you wait for a player to get in the closet, where you slowly advance kicking-out stages. (You also see the player's POV) You will be able to do a minigame, (probably similar to the room 50 closet but harder) which will speed up the process of you kicking them out, upon failing it however, you will no longer be able to use the minigame.

Some random part 2 I guess:
Ava goes down the basement and sees the liquid and joey and Dan are nowhere to be found.
Ava calls the police and the police search for an hour but Dan and joey have disappeared.
Ava comes across a HUGE hotel alone and goes in it and she explores until she encounters rush.
Rush goes zooming past and Ava gets pushed out by Hide.
But hide recognises her but can't speak or move.
Ava makes it to door 38 and encounters seek.
Seek can't recognise Ava so seek chases her.
Ava escapes Seek and she thinks to herself "what was that..?".
Then she meets Eyes "EW YOU UGLY GLOB I CANT LOOK AT YOU YOUR SO UGLY IT DAMAGES ME!"says Ava.
Then she meets Figure "what the he-" "ROARRRRRR".
After escaping Figure she meets Seek again.
"OH MY NOT AGAIN!" Said Ava as she was running for her life.
Ava escapes Seek and goes to room 98 and she finds a green liquid.
But then rush appears so Ava holds the green liquid in her hand and it chops a piece out of rush but sends Ava to the void.
"Welcome to the void." "Where am I?" "Didn't you hear me i said the void" "oh well let me out please" "no" "yes" "I said no".
"LET ME OUT" "I will,but you have to become a monster." "Um what?" "I will make you a green faster version of rush."
"Whos rush?" "The fat black glob with a trollface" "ok" "goodbye Ava...or should I call you Ambush..."
End of story.

i have a theory that ava will become screech since screech and seek both have the black-ish goop on them. as for hide, no one knows what it looks like, so we can only guess unless the devs give us a look into what hide looks like. i have a couple theories, but i'll try to combine them all. so ava was still doing her homework and when she was done, she called for joey and dan since they had been gone for a long time but they didn't respond. she looked around but didn't find anyone. then she decided to call them using the phone but they didn't pick up. she then was about to call 911 but then she saw her school bullies doing something in her front yard. she decided to see what was going on, maybe they had something to do with her family's disappearance. she was about to go outside, but then she saw they were burning the house. she tried to look for an exit that wasn't blocked by the fire but she was trapped. even worse, the bullies added oil so the fire burned faster. eventually the fire got to her and she let out a blood curling scream. the bullies heard it, and maybe they didn't think anyone was home, because they suddenly looked scared and ran away. eventually ava died there and entered the void. the void said that if she was too leave she would have to change, but she didn't leave for a long time and got used to the dark. eventually, she became to sensitive to light and eventually the void got tired of her and sent her out anyway as a spider-like creature. she could see in the dark thanks to her glowing eyes and her mission was to scare people who enter her dark rooms. if you look at her, she would go away because she didn't want you to look at her, it reminded her of her bullies, and if you had a light source, she wouldn't attack you as she was traumatised of fire and she became sensitive to light.
i know i said i would combine them but i basically just made a new theory lol, and if you read to the end, congrats :) cuz i basically wrote an essay lol

Possibly, they went to the void by going through an unknown crawlspace that the other tarantulas dared him. They soon all go looking for him but the tarantula is in the void. As the tarantula wanted freedom from the void, they get turned into a monster aka Screech. Theory 2: Maybe a young child (5-6 of age) was hiding from a criminal in a house. As the child was looking for something, his wardrobe had the same effect as Hide. As he got took in the void, he was very nervous and hates to be stared at. When the Void thought of an idea, the child was gullible enough to take the offer for freedom but then was taken into the Hotel and turned into a monster. I think this is why screech acts like that in the videos.

i have an idea for eye's origin: eyes was a little kid named tommy. he loved to look at the pretty flowers andbirds,untill one day tommys family booked a flight to a hotel,took the elevator,and then they found their rooms,but tommy. was looking through drawers,looking at old tea cups and lighters,but he was punched so hard he passed out. and then,he woke up,he was 3 feet off the ground,and whenever he spoke his words would distort,and more people looked down after seing him,and some testers came in and called him: "eyes." tommy still wonders why people dont look at him much.
