The sound of AUSTRA is amazing! I like the meaning, is propelled by economic and philosophical texts she was reading throughout the album’s creation. UTOPIA IS MY FAVOURITE SONG.
I saw them about four days before this video was recorded and it was hands down the best concert I've ever been to. they're all so talented, especially katie, I love them so much. it's only march but this is my favorite album of the year so far
electric drums suck. why anyone would choose to play them rather than enjoy the amazing acoustics of the real thing, as long as they have the room and mam power to do so, beats the hell out of me? full acoustics compared to digitized compression ftw every time.
Why would you not play electronic drums. It's about choice. You don't like them but other people do. To say they are not as good as the "real thing" is missing the point of making music and expression in my opinion.
I am well aware lmao, I'm technically a classically trained musician myself. Idk it's definitely a skilled timbre to achieve it just seems out of place here. To each their own I guess.

Some of the ideas played with in percussion are 👌👌👌 not feeling the vocals or the piano though.
