So many errors in just one sentence.. Yes, God looked at the intent of man`s heart before and it ended with a worldwide flood. He looked and said that the heart is so deceitful, that`s where the wickedness of the man resides. Too tough? Well, this is the Bible, not me saying it. The intent of man`s heart is pure wickedness, period.
God is not cleaning up our mess just like that so we can do this and that and He will take care. Indeed, Jesus died for our sins but we are to repent and believe the Gospel. But I see that the main points of the salvation are the ones that are not quite heard so much anymore and what Joel does is playing with souls.
Telling a sinful man that God will just take care of the mess will certainly attract him because boy, who wouldn`t want a God like this. They may even say: "Hey, got more of these gods?"
People need to see their wicked nature`s real state, they need to see their sin, they need to grieve about it and ask forgiveness from God. Than through the belief in Jesus Christ`s work on the cross they will be saved, that`s true salvation.
I bet Joel Osteen was one of the cutest and most charming southern boys when he was a youngster. That is a mild concern I have regarding your natural demeanor, I would want to be aware if I was walking around with the projection of acting more charming than proper Humility permits, unknowingly. You must do what it says, and this commend, you should never Ignore. And they will say; ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’
