- Welcome to the Oriah Festival of Wancho & Nocte Tribes - Ep 2 from Arunachal Pradesh!!
13th April 2023 - Today, we are on our way to Chasa Village in Tirap district in Arunachal to attend the famous Oriah festival. Festivals are a great opportunity to learn about the diversity of the state and also its rich culture. Oriah festival is primarily celebrated by the Wancho tribes but there are a few Nocte villages that fall in Tirap district that celebrate Oriah festival. We are going to see both Nocte and Wancho tribes in this video, both tribes share similar ancestral migration routes, if not the same. Both Nocte and Wancho tribes used to be headhunters in the earlier days. Although headhunting has been banned now, festivals give them a great opportunity to showcase their rich culture and tradition to the outside world.

@@DesiGirlTraveller if you have another chance to come at Tirap District than do visit the month of December or January. On those months we go for fishing ..which is very interested and we prepared the Fish trapped since from November and harvest on December last or January first👍

To be honest with you we rongmei tribe also have same tradition with the konyak wancho in terms of religion I just feel closed idk y don't jude us rongmei the present but in the past our forefathers were fearless and aggressive I am proud rongmei makaamei guangdih ❤

Sister Chasa log jo, Nocte nahi hai. Vo log Wancho hai, area (zamin) do (2) district Tirap n Longding divide➗ karte samai Tirap area par giya or eslya Nocte ka acting start kar raha hai vo log.
Wancho Tribe hai Chasa village jo bas yehi hai ki Tirap district (Nocte area) pargiya divide karte samai. Tirap district me thoda bahut gaon hai jo Wancho se migrate hone wala . Aisa kyon hua hai bolne se phele humara Wancho Tirap district tha, bat me Wancho ke liya Longding district bana hai.
