Hex is a D&B DJ and producer based in Glasgow, best known as one quarter of Symbiosis and the man behind DNB Dojo. His original productions have found widespread support in the underground scene, with releases on Detached Audio, Nurtured Beatz, Black Tuna, Bay 6 and more.
Hex's selections on the decks have seen him appear at Electrikal, Jungle Nation, Rarewave, Liquid Funktion and many more events around Scotland and beyond. With an appreciation for all sounds and vibes, expect the full 360 D&B sound both in the studio and the DJ booth.
--- This mix was recorded in June 2020, around the time of the murder of George Floyd, and the associated Black Lives Matter protests, and the Blackout Tuesday movement across the music industry. Those events got me thinking about the history of D&B as Black music, and the legacy of so many Black artists, producers, MCs and singers who have built, touched and energised this music.
With that in mind, I put together a mix where every track is by or features Black artists. It's not designed to be comprehensive or complete, since that would be impossible anyway, nor is it designed to be "the best" or "most influential" music produced by Black artists in D&B; it's a snapshot of the musicians and tracks that have spoken to me over the years, ranging across decades, countries, styles and labels. It's my love letter to this music, and an acknowledgement of the intrinsic link between D&B and Black Culture. I hope you enjoy listening to it. ---

It's a combination of combing the interwebz for good video content, Final Cut Pro and Vegas 16 (with plugins).
yeah it's just a back and forth between the 2 of us until we get what we want, I have the full A/V projects on Final Cut Pro for editing while HSo3F does the beat reacting/visual on Vegas

heyy, any news regarding another jungle set?
Yo! Sorry for taking so long with the mixes - we've only been doing visuals for a short while so we don't have the skills to do anything fast hahah! We are currently in the middle of making the visuals for a mental happy hardcore/breakcore etc mix we're hoping will be up your street, and then the next mix is coming from a tek/breakcore/jungle DJ. Cheers for asking though, we're very aware a lot of folk are waiting for another jungle mix on the channel so we're keeping that in mind when planning the AVs :) big love!
