Hi Si, That was a great in depth field test. I am really enjoying your videos. Please keep 'em coming. That was some great long distance shooting. Thanks Neil.
Thank you for this test Si. You confirmed my own observation that JBS 4,53 mm pellets are is not the best for the long range shooting using the HW 100, now I need to try "your" RWS. Anyway if you ever could try H&N 4,51 mm FTT pellets then do it. Greetings from Poland
I always have a shooting session at the entrance to the area I am going to hunt in, to re-zero and check for the day's wind - compensation requirements. This ensures I get a clean kill each time.
Thanks guys. Yes there are probably better pellets out there that would suit my rifle better but until I find them I'm very happy with the RWS Super Fields at 4.51mm. What you also have to remember lads is that every barrel is different and whats good for 1 is bad for the other. Its just a case of trial and error. ATB Si.
shooting my new hw 100 at the weekend with RWS super field 4.51 at 50m I was getting really bad groupings of 5 inch spread, not cleaned the barrel yet bought it second hand but it's had a new seal kit as it wasn't holding pressure when i bought it and looks very new..mmmm 25 metre through the same hole..
Meant to say ... you're right about barrels being fussy w.r.t. pellet choice. Mine hates RWS but is great with 4.51 AA Diablo field and Daystate Rangemaster Li.
It looked like a bloody cold morning there. That was some cracking grouping with the RWS super field. I think the second group went through the slats on the pallet. In your opinion, would you say that there was a minimum standard anyone should aspire to before attempting to hunt vermin. I say this because i'm thinking of taking it back up again after a 20 year gap and the old mince pies aint what they used to be.
si do you wash your pellets for this gun or for all your guns and if so can you do a video of some groups of the superfields before and after washing as I think that will mmake fr a great video and mabe an eye opener as to what works better.. washed or unwashed pellets
my daystate air wolf in .177 wiiith airarms .4.51 pellets are very accurate. im getting the same groups at 50 yards as you are getting with your gun and u using the rws superfields. my shot count is really h as well wich i like. im getting 300 shots with out refilling. as well i have my trigger on my air wolf set to about 2 ounces
i never put much attention on RWS field line. ive tried the superpoint extra and they are all over the place with 100t fac. Si, is yours powered down? whats your fps with superfield? what Ted shows in his channel is what we mostly do here in indonesia. we powered it down to about 850-920fps with jsb exact, and retuned the regulator to match. and we get around crazy 10-12magz with 8-9 on green range. anyway thank you so much for awesome vid.
Hi Si ive got a daystate harrier in .177. you have done i really good video im thinking about getting the rws superfield. they do rws supefield in 4.51mm and 4.52mm is there any difference. thanks ALB. lewis :)
Hi. I've just found this video and i have a question. I was just wondering if you have tried H & N field target trophy 4.5's in your .177 hw100. The reason i'm asking is that, i have just bought the exact same gun, and it came with a tin of the H&N's. They seem pretty accurate but i was just wondering if have tried them and would give me your opinion of them.. I will of course buy a tin of the RWS Superfields, and see how i get on with them, Atb, Marc.
my rapid air weapons tm1000 with lrt stock will do those groups too at that range... and thats not with its favorite pellet,, the groups out of the tm 1000 with its favorite pellets are staggering... and at 25 meters i am getting 1 mm ctc 10 groups our doors.... and my out door 5 shot groups at 45 meters are as small as you see on this video ....yes the tm100o is in the master class of air guns.... cots more but worth it
Si, having recently bought an HW 110 in .177 I was interested in your two postings of pellet comparison. I've been trying the AA field, the JSB exact and the Webley accupell and all are as expected. What isn't is the RWS Superfield. These group badly but also drop an additional 10cm over the others at 50m. I chronod them and they have a BC of 0.0119 which is way out from the others .00213-.00272. They have a really long skirt and drop speed alarmingly. In fact they only just retain 3.5 ft/lb at 50m (not enough for rabbits) vs the 5.6-6.2 for the others. Have they re-formulated the RWS as I can't see why my testing should be so far off as I tested all four in the same session. Any comments or rookie errors pointed out, welcome. ps love the vids, keep them coming.
love the videos matey. I found the weihrauch F&T specials cal.5,5/.22" and .177" to be amazing pellets with Hw100
Hi Si,
That was a great in depth field test. I am really enjoying your videos. Please keep 'em coming. That was some great long distance shooting.

Jsb do 4.51mm pellets

I am using weihrauch ft pellets 4.51. Loves them
Cracking shot on the Magpie Si and good advice on the pellets I will get my mate to try them in his HW100

I'm surprised to see that the JSB Exacts grouped the worst. Usually they are fantastic providers of consistency especially in the HW100.
me too iv used them tonight down at the range and the groups are a lot tighter, but i have heard each gun can be really pellet fussy
some great shooting there mate do love the hw100
Good shooting and a good gun cheers Shane uk 🇬🇧
Fantastic shooting Si.. no wonder your bunnies drop so well.

Since this was made RWS have changed hands or production.
Are you still using them and are they still good pellets?
If not what are you using now?
my daystate air wolf in .177 wiiith airarms .4.51 pellets are very accurate. im getting the same groups at 50 yards as you are getting with your gun and u using the rws superfields.

Fantastic shoot
Hi si quick question when u do a calibration do u weigh ur pellets
Hi Si ive got a daystate harrier in .177. you have done i really good video im thinking about getting the rws superfield. they do rws supefield in 4.51mm and 4.52mm is there any difference. thanks
ALB.
lewis :)
Seems the barrel likes 4.51mm pellets so why try Air Arms in 4.52mm and Jsb Exacts in 4.53mm ?
your rifle loves the 4.51 pellets.just like Ted's Edgun Matador loves JSB 5.52mm.other than this size of same brand is a totally different grouping.
Great video mate, quick question, what range finder do you use?
Hey great video how many joules has HW100s
Hi Si , Just wondered are you endorsed by RWS by any chance?
What do you think for using super field for FTC
What size rws superdome are good in hw100 177
how many shots you can do with your custom cylinder ? and is it possible to buy online ?
Comparing those pellets but all the same size?

Is that barrel on HW100 Lothar Walther or simply HW100 factory barrel?
my hw100 loves the jsb 5.52 express
im getting a hw100t and I don't know if I should get .22 or 177 for rabbits and crows and some pigeons
Hi , I'm thinking of getting the BSA r10 or the hw 100 s , for rabbits , what would you recommend ? Also 22 or 177
as always brilliant
Si is this a 12ft legal HW100, i love these pellets - Great Vid Mate.
Hi! HW100 has better accuracy in 177 or 22cal?
my rapid air weapons tm1000 with lrt stock will do those groups too at that range... and thats not with its favorite pellet,, the groups out of the tm 1000 with its favorite pellets are staggering... and at 25 meters i am getting 1 mm ctc 10 groups our doors.... and my out door 5 shot groups at 45 meters are as small as you see on this video ....yes the tm100o is in the master class of air guns.... cots more but worth it

No not yet Ashy.
Si.
Another good pellet is Crosman Priemer/Ultra Magnums.
Great shooting Si. Just started my own channel. Take a look - Devon AirGunner. I also use a HW100. Great rifle!!
Funny...I didn't see ONE pellet go through the same hole!! 🤔
Quality ✌🏼
Its .177 and non FAC
That's some grouping at 40
