The direction and instructions in the video are great. Just a word of caution for first timers. I was able to get the front glass off easy enough, and get the screws out, and detach the battery. I then added heat to the back of the phone to ease the adhesive. Maybe I did it too long. When I tried to take the battery out, it combusted and I had to quickly set the phone outside as it burned. I likely heated the back too long, which made the battery vulnerable when I tried to take it out. Just a heads up to proceed cautiously if this is your first battery replacement. Again, this isn’t an issue with Serg Techs instruction, as they did a great job here showing us the process. I’m a newbie and I simply didn’t do it right.

Excellent video! Your approach is as non-invasive as possible disconnecting only what needs to be. I like your method for heating the glue strips under the battery to pry it out rather than do the "command adhesive strip" thing.

Excellent but is this for a 10 R or XR? Looks identical to my XR-I phone

Same thing, apple wants you to pronounce it a 10 R but the name is XR.

Maybe it’s better to take out the screws before heating... Why so many people like to use metal knifes? Where is the silicon layer for recovering waterproof?

Why are you crying? Hope you understand this is DIY for people that need to do it in emergencies or they don't have the shit to even fully do it with.

Cahp you have a metal knife but you don’t have an old plastic card. This kind of DIY is for idiots. But it’s ok, someone else will earn with your problem

Cuz batteries age. The process also gets sped up by external heat (sun, hot car, hot room, whatever), dropping your phone, etc etc etc. My XR is about a year old and has 92% battery charge after heavy use with gaming, and direct sunlight cuz of my job.

If u use bad cables the battery can be damaged, and u need to replace it couse the phone wouldnt longer work without lulw
