I'm using a Cleveland TFi Elevado putter. I've tried A LOT of putters recently and feel this really gives me better alignment and the feel is phenomenal.
White hot 2 ball I bought about 20 years ago. It has a new grip but still love it. I have even had a couple of comments from people on the course about it
If you're going to keep scoring in your reviews, you should start to make a table for putters, irons and drivers so we know what clubs have impressed you the most throughout the year 👍
I just watced your friend Rick doing his throwback review of the Odyssey White Hot 2 ball putter and liked it. Your was informative also. I have been playing the same putter for 26 years. A Callaway Bertha Blade putter as well as 1994 Big Bertha Irons . I decided to finally change and went to Mavrik Max irons ,Driver as well as Max Fairway and hybrids. I need all the forgiveness I can get and have always used Callaway products. I recently purchased a used Odyssey Backstryke 2 ball Putter on Ebay after going to a used golf outlet and putting with a lot of putters. I personally think you drop as many putts with a used 50 dollar putter as a new 250 dollar new one. Thanks for the channel. I am in the USA and golf daily as a retired senior.
I use the original White Hot 2-ball from 20 years ago, picked it up 2 year ago when I started playing golf, cost me £25 from a second hand shop. Since then fitted a Fatso 5.0 grip, custom painted matt black and drew an alignment line through the white circles, feels so good cant see me ever changing!
Odyssey have a reputation to live up to so its good to see they are trying to build some new stuff. Glad to have another wave of Dubai vids from u Pete!
I'm using a red Odyssey O-Works 7 microhinge (balanced) face with double-bend steel-shaft. Love it. But then I am used to it. Can't say the microhinge does what it is promised to, but I find it easy to align.
I was just fitted for an Odyssey Whit Hot OG7 at my putter fitting last Wednesday, Peter. Mine has in fact got the Stroke Lab shaft on it. I can't complain at the results. I went there with my original cheap and cheerful Genus Masters putter. I was averaging 4 out of 10 putts from 10 feet. I turned that into 6 out of 10 from 10 feet. Apparently 5 out 10 is the tour average at 10 feet. I got 10% off as well, which was nice. I only came on here to see which pros were already using it, and found your page. I have been a subscriber for a while.
Thank you for being the first review of the bigger channels to mention the weight system. Everyone is hung up on it being identical but the adjustable weights is a pretty huge change.
I am using a Stroke Lab 7 mini. I just love that putter. I tried to change the putting by using a left putter of the same model, but I went back to the right one. I thought I had a more visual look at the line due to a stronger right eye, but it all came down to training
lol, my buddy has that old model and its perfect for scooping up balls on the green. we also talked about hitting someone with the fangs, and its definitely a versatile putter.
Essentially, Odyssey is buying themselves time and "resetting" their product line. They are buying themselves another ~1-2 years to figure out what radically different thing they can do next, while releasing a product line with an insert people love and they know will sell well. Odyssey is essentially taking a gap year here.
This is happening in tennis equipment too. Wilson is re-releasing older version of rackets and repainted version of current models. As to golf, I really don’t see good reason upgrade to older club design.
Why change putters at at all. Keep selling what works. Every putter ever made had a flat face and around 3 degree loft, and rolls the ball. The cosmetics of back and hosels and space age materials is what changes. And other fact is regardless of what the 2028 model will look like golfers will still miss putts from 3ft.
Just picked up an old school White Hot XG #7 for under £40 delivered. Should be arriving over the weekend. Can't wait to give it a run out on the course.
I have an OG white hot 2 ball. (As in about 15 years old) Drained a 20 footer down the hill yesterday on screaming fast NZ summer greens. Reluctant to change but could replace now obviously...
I do like the look of the shaft on that one; nice change from all steel. I once used a White Hot putter but cant say I ever excelled with it, at least not like I am with my Ping B65 TR Cadence. Cheers!
I still have and game my original white hot 2 ball, 14 years and counting. The confidence I feel when on the green hasn't wavered. Contemplated a LABS fitting but can't quite convince myself yet.
Nice review Pete. Thanks. I have an old Wilson putter. I've only ever had 2 putters in my bag for 45 years of playing. I'm a stubborn person when it comes to putters if it works why change.
My fav Stroke Lab is the 2019 lineup w the Microhinge insert. Those grooves help tremendously with getting a better roll w more top spin from impact. Been rocking a 2019 7S Stroke Lab and love it. Also really loving the 2022 Taylor Made Spider GT Rollback I picked up. The “OG” insert is too soft and lacks the grooves which aid in roll IMO. I played an original 2001 White Hot #2 for 18 years and can’t even use it anymore. The switch to mid-size mallets (over blades) and having a grooved insert is a massive improvement for me and many others. Couldn’t give me a White Hot OG.
Just bought the brand new Odyssey Stroke Lab V-Line CS(center shaft). It has the White Hot Microhinge face. I love how it sits, love how easy it is to start my ball online, also love the true roll(no skids, or hopping), but I am also struggling with leaving my putts a touch short. The greens at my course are very slow right now(winter time), but I expect that I'll be deadly with it, when the greens get back to normal(fast). Love your channel, bro.
I'm still gaming my original white hot 2 ball putter. I have a Scotty that I put in every once in a while if my putting goes cold - but I can't think of a reason to take it out of the bag. I did put on a SuperStroke grip, but that is the only change I've made in all these years.
Just ordered a double wide OG, been using a plumbers neck blade, 2 ball center shaft, spider x........still not comfortable with my lines so trying the OG out
Odyssey Stroke Lab #9 putter, which I purchased last season. Absolutely the bomb. And I don't mean driver distance. I'm making 2 more putts per round on average. Even had a day last season with 25 putts.
Spider x. However I'm getting this model you used, I feel the reviews are missing the fact that we could never get the #7 with the white hot insert, only white hot xg which was horrible. So finally we can get what the tour guys have loved forever. Value for money is good in my eyes for this one.
A little late to the comment game on this video but… I have the 2 ball OG with stroke lab shaft. Feel at contact is what I like and has worked well for me.
Recently put this in the bag and I can’t really say anything bad about it besides the dots on the top of the face (would be nice if it were a line) but over all a brilliant putter and one I’ll have in the bag for years to come, the face is just so damn smooth
I prefer milled face blades and have several but currently in my bag I have a custom Ping specify that someone swapped the Ping weights for a weighted wood back sound is a 2 out of 5 but wow it can’t sink putts. Also I actually putt both left and right with it cause the wood side is even better. Only putters that feel better are my pre 1930 putters!!!!
Hey Peter, could you give all the out-of-5 ratings for your current LAB putter? Ideally in video form? Really interested to see how your putter compares
I know you feel like these are just the same as before and not much X factor, but think about how brilliant this is in marketing. Odyssey is taking a page out of Jordan Brands books with the Jordan 1s. The market is ready for these putters Pete. These are for those players who were just starting golf, or just getting into it around 15-25 years ago and saw these putters on another level. Fast forward, these players are now a bit older, a bit more experienced and likely have deeper pockets than before. The memories come back, and they think again about how amazing those are. This isn’t about the product, Pete. They are marketing memories
I still have my 2 ball blade putter from like 2005 or 2006 and it's my old faithful. Got it as a christmas present back when I said I would never spend that much for a putter where as now I just spent twice as much a month ago. I have so many putters and for performance, I would still put that 2 ball blade near the top. I also have the 2 ball fang from last fall which I like the looks from the top, but my only complaint is the bottom. There is no good base on it to tamp down fixed ball marks which doesn't sound like much, but it does get a little annoying when it's something that I is a regular part of the round. It's my only complaint with the fang....well that and I can't scoop the ball.
Based on what I know about putters and how distance works, I would say the extra weight was what caused putts to come up shorter, not really the softer feeling insert. Is that plausible?
Never really been a fan of face inserts in putters. Always seemed to lose a bit of touch on speed control. I'm currently using an Argolf putter (Pendragon model). They are on the spendier side, but they feel fantastic.
Went from a white hot to a Scotty primarily because I hated that feeling of having to hit it so hard to get long putts to the hole...also because my new putter is a Scotty
Odyssey White Hot XG No 9, have been for over 20 years, sometimes revert to my PING Zing 2i when things go wrong then go back. Have been toying with the PING Heppler ‘Floki’ but struggling. If the No 9 isn’t broken.....
I'm rocking the Odyssey O-Works R-Line putter but I have just purchased a Kronos Metronome putter for use on slower greens, heavier head & a hard face so don't leave it too short, you ever have that issue Pete?
If one is a player who likes to putt more aggressively (stroke wise) is a softer insert better? And with this in mind Would the DFX insert be better suited than a white hot?
Using an original White Hot 7, still love at the minute... but just text my old man to get my original White Hot 5 down from the loft, the feel from that was so much better when i was 7 years old 😂🤷🏻♂️
I got my two ball off eBay last year with head cover for £39.99 glad I did as I expect prices to rise now as it seems there is little to no difference 😂
Hey everyone! Which putter are you currently rocking? Tell me ⬇️
I'm using a Cleveland TFi Elevado putter. I've tried A LOT of putters recently and feel this really gives me better alignment and the feel is phenomenal.
Ping anser 2 but upgrading to the original white hot putter - what do u think I should upgrade to from there Pete!!!
Taylormade spider tour red with black golf pride grip ⛳️
White hot 2 ball I bought about 20 years ago. It has a new grip but still love it. I have even had a couple of comments from people on the course about it
Odyssey Stroke Lab Tuttle. Best putter by far I have owned, was fitted for this and defo worth doing.

Trying to get as many done as possible for you guys
I love that they have brought this back. I still have my 2ball in the bag. Love the feel and it is super reliable.
I'm using a red Odyssey O-Works 7 microhinge (balanced) face with double-bend steel-shaft. Love it. But then I am used to it. Can't say the microhinge does what it is promised to, but I find it easy to align.

Just straight up insulted people that have chainsaws next to their beds.
I’m still rocking my beautiful Odyssey O’Works 7 red putter. The feel is so clean pure and soft that I love hitting it!
I had the og #7 when it came out. Wish i kept it but I’ve come full circle back to the modern #7 in the black finish and stroke lab. I love it.
Me too
I am using a Stroke Lab 7 mini. I just love that putter. I tried to change the putting by using a left putter of the same model, but I went back to the right one. I thought I had a more visual look at the line due to a stronger right eye, but it all came down to training

I have an original 2-Ball!! Love it, just wish it was a little longer.. 😊

They'll probably extend it to a Tri Hot range after this to buy more time as well...!
I can get behind this theory.
@@Harryjones05 Wouldn't be surprised!

I'll NEVER get rid of my Odyssey White Hot Tour #5. Bought it new 16 yrs ago. Still the best.
Currently rocking the LAB Golf Direct Force 2.1 based on your and others reviews. Can confirm that it is amazing!
“Maybe it’s a grower”
Well done, Mr. Finch, well done.
I have 2 White Hot Pro putters. I have had a Havoc since about 2016 and a 2-Ball for about a year. I must admit I love the alignment of the 2 ball
I have an Odyssey #7 I bought new maybe six years ago. Still love it.
I do like the look of the shaft on that one; nice change from all steel.
I once used a White Hot putter but cant say I ever excelled with it, at least not like I am with my Ping B65 TR Cadence.
Cheers!
I never stopped using my White Hot RX. It's the first putter I really loved after my poor RAM Zebra got too battered and needed a decent burial.
These will be a huge hit. I just got a 7s and it is beautiful. Its great to have that old white hot feel back
I still have and game my original white hot 2 ball, 14 years and counting.
Twenty year old Odessey 2 ball. Still love it
My 20-year-old white hot putter has always been the best I’ve ever used.
this is good news then?
This is one the most enjoyable videos I watched of yours and Love all your videos! Thanks for the content 🙏
I've got an original 2ball in the garage, must give it another go when we get back to playing. I've got an original spyder in the bag and I love It.
I just made the switch to Scotty Cameron (Newport 2.0) and LOVE it.
This is great news... I am now able to afford the original version and am able to upgrade from my original Anser 2
Move to America if you don’t live here already. Joe Biden will buy you whatever putter you want.

@@DannyTannerSF surely you can’t get in because of the huge wall Trump built, oh that’s right he didn’t 😂
I got the 1WS but hated the insert, so I removed it and made a copper insert and it was a day and night difference

About to rock a Odyssey white hot 2 ball original model I picked up from eBay for £50. Cannot wait as it looks in mint condition
I’ve got the original white smoke blade putter and I love it

Love to see a review of the Odyssey 11 and how it compares to last year’s 10 model

I’m still using my white hot#7 from 2006 on its 3rd grip. Using the super stroke claw 2.0 w/ 50 gram weight.

Odyssey white hot sabre tooth....love it!
I used to use the rossie but I upgraded to the strokes lab double wide afew months ago Ive always used Odyssey there the best for me
I'm loving it combo with that pro plus ➕
Have to say I love my White Hot Pro Rossie. Looking good in the new FootJoy rig, I'm assuming the shorts were on back order though ;-)
Who remembers the hinge face? And plus I heard that the white hot insert is made of the same material as the old golf balls. ( if that makes sense )

I had one of those as a kid. We used it to rake the coal in the fire. Suppose it is 'white hot'
I just bought a white hot #2 for $40 at a second hand sports store. So they’re out there if you look.
