Have you had any issues after replacing the part?
I have the same situation and I'm sure that on snowy or slippery situations the VSC may not work.
I was told it was the ABS module. it's a $1,500 part plus installation. if the part you replaced solve the problem please reply.

This was a good video! I have a Toyota 2007 FJ Cruiser (with Auto Transmission). This was very helpful! My part number was SW7249 62-0047 Stop Light Switch from Auto Zone - very important that you tell the counter person that you have a auto transmission OR a manual because that switch is a different part number. Also- it is important to note as shown that this part comes with a brown plastic nut and it does need to be removed! My FJ was beginning not to start and also hard to put in gear.

I did not hear any beep. As long as it doesn't continue to beep after the install, it should be fine.
