Once in a lifetime and she stays inside? It could be pouring outside and my wife would be all into getting to see that. Looking through a window, to me, is like watching it on tv. Awesome video and the price was worth it. Buy her a raincoat.
Thank you! LOL, she has one but chooses not to go outside due to the temperature. She said the views were just as nice from inside looking out the window. 😁
Well done, Chris! You were subconsciously saying it like a local the whole time. The name originated from the Spanish American War, so Valdez would be right if you were going back to origin. BUT the locals say Valdeeez with the long e (like easy peasy) to differentiate it from the original namesake.
I am not sure if the names come from the Spanish American War as there are Islands on the British Columbia Coast with Spanish names . They came up the coast of North America in the late 1700s - Malaspina, Quadra, Galiano, Valdés, Cortés to name a few .
Chris and Katrina We are enjoying every moment of trip of a lifetime to Alaska. ,your Video Ography. 📹 is amazing 🎉 Let's go 🎣We just go back from Lake George NY Great trip so much to do .
You made it in the end, Katrina's favorite guy, and finally gave the most interesting man in the world a break.😂 Lovely views of Valdez and the glacier. Safe travels, you three, and to Jacob and Dee. 🙏🏾💙🤍❤️👍🏾
The views continue to be spectacular! Great boat footage, Dolphins!!! Whales!! Glaciers!!! Oh MY!! The weather in Alaska sounds like the weather in Michigan. 😁 "Continue this trend"....... - Jim & Michelle
This trip looks so great we are loving the views. So great you say a fellow Maryland RV we really did notice a lot of big rigs in that RV park so we are thinking this does look very possible for us. That food looked yummy. The cruise looked great . Oh oreos Ron's weakness! The glaciers are incredible we can't wait to go to Alaska again. This journey has been great for everyone to see. Well done thanks for sharing.
Hey Anna! We typically only leave him for at the most 4 hours. Every once in a while we leave him for long. He's use to us working a 8 hour day so it doesn't seem to bother him at all.
Hi Chris and Katrina! Great video! The fish looked good at that Mermaid restaurant. How was your fishing experience? Did you get your go? Nice boat ride out to see the mirrored glacier. Nice seeing whales. Was the sea lions. Katrina was saying were cute? I didn’t hear her too well. Just that the best thing she saw that day was Chris. I heard that. That was sweet. Romantic. And she said while you all were on a boat! lol! 😂😂 I was wondering what that nice was while you were on the water. And I think it was sea lions wasn’t sure! Looks like you all are having fun. Hope you have a great weekend and week and see you soon! Safe travels.
Hey Sherri! It was good and it just kept getting better. We go fishing in the next video or two. The whales and sea lions were great but my favorite were the otters. They are so darn cute! It was the captain of the boat talking over the loud speaker. Oh wait. If you talking about the loud sound that was the ice falling off the glacier. It's called calving. Thank you! Safe travels to you as well.😊
@@oureverydaygetaway Oh ok I was wondering about that sound. What it was. The otters are cute. I agree. The glacier was beautiful to see. Cant wait until I see the fishing.
If you don't mind being away from family and friends it's a must do. You should be able to do this trip in about 4-6 weeks depending on how fast you like to travel.
That cruise looked awesome. It looks like it was well worth the cost as well. Starting my training for a possible big challenge in January..... JS 😂😂. Riding my ebike and working my elbow to build maximum strength. 😅😅😅. Till Cocktails.....
As I watch your awesome videos, I'm also watching Oneadvantureatatime's videos of Alaska. Ya'll were there not to far apart from each other but doing it a little differently. How cool to get different perspectives.
Great video guys 🎉. Thanks for bringing us along and showing us your journey. When my wife gets to retire it's something we would like to do as well. Safe travels.
Awesome video. We are full time in a diesel pusher and have been invited to join some friends to Alaska in 2026. My question is could you have done it in your diesel motorhome? Any regrets about the Class C? Thanks, safe travels!
Good question! Yes we could have totally done the trip in our diesel pusher. Do we regret purchasing our little class C? Not at all. The reason being we were able to boondock at so many epic locations that our dp wouldn't have fit and the ease of travel with Katrina and myself being able to drive. Safe travels and have an awesome weekend.
Thanks Chris & Katrina! What a great video to watch while having my lunch. Jen & Kurt ,MN (Future full-time RV'ers), hopefully in 1yr! See you on the road!
We’re going next year & want to go early but will stay through the salmon season to go to Brooks Falls. We may have to do some doubling back so we can see Valdez fish hatchery & Hyder during the salmon season.
You have to go to Iceland..you 2 would love it! I climbed a glacier there. It was amazing. Enjoying your Alaska trip sooooo much!!!! Thank you for all the things you show us...
Get the smaller class c really paid dividends. You been able to get into some great boondocking spots. I have seen videos of 5th wheel RVs that have had hard time finding boondocking spots. Good luck on your adventure.
Thank you! He makes it easy. Such a good boy and never complains.😊 We don't usually go out for more than a couple hours without him so every once in a while it's okay.
Thank you! Tucker stayed back at the rv. He use to stay home while we worked and had no issues. It's rare we leave him along for more than 4 hours at a time.
We are hoping to go to Alaska summer 2026. (taking notes) I think we are going to boondock like y'all. How much are they charing to dump and fill up there? Thank y'all for the videos!
Sounds great! Your going to love it! In our experience we found places from $5.00 - $20.00. Also a few gas stations would let you dump for free if you purchased gas there.
Good day! Following for Our trip in 2025 to Alaska. The other channels with 5th wheels are saying that there aren’t enough boondocking places for 5th wheels ? Do you agree? Then to get campground they are all booked ahead? As well do you feel you have to have large budget for Alaska !
We took our 40ft Momentum 5th Wheel from Florida to Alaska. We ran into Chris and Katrina in Dawson Creek. On our trip, we made reservations at campgrounds where we really wanted to stay like Seward and Valdez in Alaska and Jasper and Banff in Canada. We found plenty of places to boondock in our 5th wheel in between our longer stays.
I would say there are plenty of boondocking places that you can fit a 5th wheel. The only problem might be the time of year you go. We left mid May and had no problems finding spots that would have easily fit 5th wheels. Totally agree about most campgrounds being booked out early. You should definitely book any campgrounds around the major cities/sites well ahead of time. We definitely went over our budget on this trip. We'll be coming out with our budget video for this trip soon that will go into better details.
Sorry we totally forgot to leave the GPS locations. Chris will go back and add the locations to the video. We'll also be putting out a video soon with our favorite boondocking locations in Alaska. Thanks so very much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment.
Excellent video truly enjoyed watching. So since Alaska gets really crowded around July/August time frame when exactly did you do the cruise in Valdez? Also do you have tucker with you and if so where did you leave tucker? I’m planning on doing Alaska next year and will be traveling with my fur baby also so I know there’s some excursions I want to do so trying to figure this out. 😊
Thank you! We did the Valdez cruise in June. Tucker stayed in the rv while we were gone. We usually don't leave him for more than a few hours. Every once in a while we leave him longer and he's fine. It's no different than if we were back working and he stayed at home while we were gone. Hope your having an amazing summer. 😊
We started our journey in Canada mid May and ended our journey from Alaska at the end of July. The weather was a little colder than we like but we were able to miss most of the crowds early on which made it worth going early. Mid May through Mid July would be perfect in our opinion.

Katrina’s best thing she saw cracked me up! 😂 Key to marriage right there! 😉
What a fantastic trip! Traveling with my guy is the best part! Thanks for watching guys.😃
Well done, Chris! You were subconsciously saying it like a local the whole time. The name originated from the Spanish American War, so Valdez would be right if you were going back to origin. That waterfall where you boondocked at the beginning looked awsome!! Little towns all look like they have similar shops everywhere!
The towns are so cute and yes the waterfall was Spectacular!
Love love ! Thanks for sharing .
You are so welcome!😃
Cuz+Cuz, I find it amazing that Tucker just stays in your RV when you're out and about.

Wow, the stats on that glacier was awesome.
It's hard to fathom it's that much larger under the water.

So the time frame for your visit. Was that a good time for good weather ? Would u recommend any other time frame ?

Who needs body wipes . When you have a river outside your door.
As long as you like to bathe in ice cubes!🤣🤣 Thanks for watching.😊

Just now putting together numbers from our trip. Will have a video out within the next month.
