Hi everyone! Thanks for watching. I wanted to do a fun video this time that applies to both workplace safety and recreation too. Let me know your thoughts!

Old man here. I still walk my dog 2-4 miles a day, year round.
Came here to see what I'm doing right. and what I can add.
Tires, alwayk check air pressure more in the winter. Why? Metal rims contract differently than tire beads, air when colder has less pressure in the tire and the rubber is not as flexible when cold.
My sidewalks, stairs and driveways are always cleared right away. I consider it a responsibility to delivery people, my wife and my neighbors to clear that snow. When there's going to be icy sidewalks and I will be walking the dog I put on cleats.
Those travel tips, have a tow strap or chain, some traction aid, a shovel, blanket etc. in the vehicles. ALWAYS fully remove snow and ice from your vehicle.
Have one of those CO detectors in the same room as the furnace.
When walking the dog I have a pack with extra mittens, scarf, hat and socks. I've got places I can stop to warm up, city hall, police station, three banks, a liquor store, the veterinarian office.
I've opened the outer layer to allow moisture to escape several times. Once I saw frost forming on the next layer.
Wool, change out of the boots and socks when they are wet. If wearing pac or similar boots with an insulated insert, get a second set of inserts for those days when the insert gets wet and you still need to be out.
Alcohol, only when done being outside for the day and not going anywhere.

Gee,,, If I hadn't been inebriated I would not have survived that walk home during the blizzard of 75. Seriously you should also avoid low spots in the terrain. The temperature can plummet in a gully or valley.

Slips, trips, and falls! I slipped on the ice two years ago and thought I sprained my wrist. Luckily I just sore.

Yeah, it was funny to me that when I was researching for this video, that was still the biggest cause of injury! I thought it would be car accidents.
