    i’ve never used the cameo and the reason i bought the cricut maker is because that’s the cutter i heard of first…listen, that cricut gets the job done and i use inkscape, affinity and even silhouette business addition to make sure my designs turn out top notch……i’m enjoying the series..appreciate you sharing knowledge..peace

    So glad I watched this video. I'm always thinking I need more, bigger, better etc and started looking at different cutters. I use the cameo 4 and I see youtubers using larger cutters so here i go looking around thinking I needed it too. But the price tag on them, yikes! I do t shirts and also a lot of wood signs so I use it for htv and stencil making. After watching this I realized I don't need more. It's not that big of a deal to break down a stencil design if I need to. I need to reel it in and realize I already have what I need. Thank you!! I AM SO THANKFUL FOR YOUR VIDS! I've watched them all and appreciate your work and sharing your knowledge.

    I have 2 54" plotters and use 30" or less of that 95% of the time. After crunching the numbers 30" rolls offer the best bang for the buck per roll but I still often use a 15" roll for convenience.

    I bought a Cricut Maker when I started doing masks last year( wanted quicker way to cut fabrics and templates). It surpasses they expectations in had for small media. But once I got into customs shirts it became harder if you had to cut bigger than standard. All in all I still love it . Just not their vinyl lol.
    I know others who use Silhouette and I started designing in their program as it was a bit more user friendly than Cricut. TH-cam videos do help a lot for beginners. Loving this series man💜💜💜

    I have a cricut air 2 and a cameo 4 pro. I mostly use the cricut because of ease of use. The cameo 4 pro (24 in) I use when I need to make my own gang sheets, etc. But the cricut is a work horse.

    I currently use a cricut explore air 2, but am going to get the cameo 4 plus. Only because it can cut longer rolls without having to buy "smart" vinyl. I LOVE my cricut, but am limited in length of vinyl. Also, silhouette studio allows more options and design control.

    I use a Cricut explore air 2. I got it because I wanted to use it with my iPad. I got used to taking my iPad everywhere and didn’t wanna change it up and bring my laptop. I was debating on the silhouette but decided on the Cricut because of the iPad. Also the price was good as well.

    My silhouette cameo 2 was my first piece of equipment. Had it for years but ran into an issue where software crashed at splash screen and they couldn’t help me. I moved on to laser engraving and now just invested in white toner transfer that came with heat press and a Siser 24” cutter.

My wife bought a Cricut 6 years ago because she wanted to make shirts and coffee mugs, but never started. If we can use it to help our new shirt business, great. Otherwise we may sell it

    • @BigBrandoh
      @BigBrandoh  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you gotta buy a cutter based on your needs. what are you cutting for? shirts? decals? just cuz some vinyls come in 20" rolls you gona buy a bigger cutter? all you gotta do is cut a 12" or 15" piece off that 20" roll to put in your cutter. now it will cut 12x20 or 15x20 piece.

    • @BigBrandoh
      @BigBrandoh  ปีที่แล้ว

      depends on what you plan on using the vinyl for. heat transfer vinyl is made for t shirts and decal vinyl is for glass wear, stickers, signage etc... all types of vinyl can be cut with your cricut just make sure you buy the right vinyl for the material you plan to apply it too

    The cutter is the most expensive piece of equipment. But it’s not actually making the money. It’s just testing designs.
    That seems odd. No?

    • @BigBrandoh
      @BigBrandoh  ปีที่แล้ว

      all depends how you structure your business. i know a lady and her daughter that clear 6 figures every year just off of her small craft vinyl cutter. i use my cutter to test designs, not everybody uses it for that, some use theirs to do one off shirts, some use theirs to make decals, some use theirs for all of their shirts. but if you dont need it, dont get it. thats the beauty of this business, you structure it the way you see it fit. more than 1 way to run this business.
