- A video showing many of the vehicles participating in this year's Trans Pennine Road Run from Birch Services to Harrogate. We see a couple of Miles Fox trucks on their way to the event followed by another handful of arrivals and then the vehicles departing shortly after leaving Birch Services.
From the U.S.A., what a great dis- play of vehicles!! Thanks for this smorgasbord of past history, of British trucking!!!
Thanks for posting; what an amazing sight seeing all those workhorses of yesteryear 👌👍
My uncle drove an AEC Mammoth Major owned by Hackbridge Cables in Surrey! What a fantastic wagon! I used to climb up as a kid in total bliss! Magical video this!
That was a real treat for an old truck driver. I even think I spotted a military Swiss Saurer near the end.
Thanks for posting this video,
Been a real treat to watch.
Well done to all who restore these fine motors.
Superb turnout, well done to all the restorers!
I may have lived in Oz for many years, but there are so many sights (that T45 @5:10 for example) and sounds (the F10, the Plaxton Volvo B10M, the Scania 111 and 143, various TK's and TL's and the D-series, even the SK-cab Merc) that trigger so many memories. I may not be ancient, but I'm old enough to know what a Gardner sounds like. Thanks, from the arse end of the planet.
I never knew there was so many old old trucks still out there like the Bedford trucks and all of them have been looked after ever so well
That's it for me at 24:13 my dad taught me to drive in a borderer on waste ground on what used to be STAVELEY CHEMICLES I'm almost in tears.
Very enjoyable half hour. Thanks!
fantastic collection of history
This is a great video.Although I wasn't at the Birch services end I was in Harrogate and watched arrivals on the Stray before going round the assembled vehicles
PS I spoke to the owner of the Vulcan lorry seen at 0:49 while in Harrogate.I thought he was a really nice chap.I told him about the Vulcan lorries my great grandfather owned in the 1930s
THANK YOU SO MUCH....to EVERONE
Fantastic Video, will definately make sure I get next year, circumstances stopped me this year.
Thanks Andrew Kelly the Scammell is a great looking truck and sounded well too
My grandad is Miles Fox and he really appreciates these videos
British_A4_126MPH long time ago but 170 mph, Ferrari from Maranello concessionaires.
Superb !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fantastic video. I was driving the Scammell Amazon (12:55)
Nice old truck, it sure is a smoky old beast!
Lovely bit of JAKE going off at 28:31.
I noticed at least one tractor unit with the 5th wheel covered (not the ballast tractors). Would this mean a driver with a relevant car licence as less that 7.5t gross?
Those three coaches are nice at 1:00, a Volvo and a Leyland Tiger/Plaxton Supreme and Volvo/Duple Laser. Or was it Duple Caribbean? One of the two. And the ERF following them sounded fantastic!
EFD 923Y was a Duple Laser. It originally belonged to Masons Pathfinder Tours, a firm I have known for well over 50 years, based in Willenhall.
8:47 he's keeping his eyes on you hehe.
10:46 lovely Chinese 6 there
All the really old ones have the rasp sound
5:37 Hahahaha as if. I would love to see one of these rallies held within the LEZ, what euro rating these got?
What no Scammels
there's one 6:22.
@@AndreiTupolev I saw it.
