Join the decisive aerial battle of the 20th Century - The Battle of Britain. Zoom over the white cliffs as a Fighter pilot in the Spitfires and Hurricanes of the Royal Air Force, or pilot the black crossed Bf-109's and Bf-110's of the Luftwaffe and the Italian Fiat G-50 of the Regia Aeronautica. Accept the technical challenge of flying bombers or attack aircraft like the German Junkers 88, Heinkel and Stuka, the Italian Fiat BR-20, or the British Bristol Blenheim or Beaufighter. IL-2 STURMOVIK: CLIFFS OF DOVER: BLITZ EDITION is the completely revised re-release from 1C Games with graphics upgraded to DX 11, new aircraft, and new Flight and Damage models.

I hope they update the graphics more for this game, it still doesn't look too realistic, but the mechanics of the game are fantastic. And I loved the paintjob on the hurricane. Try to gain more height and speed in your attacks! Great video.

Possibly the only BOB Hurricane Op conducted in a cap. No helmet, or oxygen! Incidentally, at the time, 257 was commanded by Bob Stanford Tuck, one of the greats of Fighter Command.

Yeah you are probably right
over temperature you can see @16:45 water temp is 130 Deg C, max is 120, over that and engine will degrade quickly. Two things that damage engine fast is over temp and/or over reving the engine. lots of lower speed and high engine settings will raise the temp, something you have to keep watching.

Besides blowing your engine, not to shabby. I hate it when the A.I. continues to cut in front of you. If I'm firing, when that happens(repeatedly) I say "Oh well" and continue shooting. The game will either stop cutting you off, or, you'll be a German Ace!
Haha yeah it can be frustrating at times but also quite fun following a few aircraft in close combat

Yes I plan to go as far as I can with this hurricane/battle of Britain campaign and the Tobruk Stuka one which is only 6 missions then we can look back at il2 and rise of flight

No wonder that was a bit of a hairy landing: your rudder and your stabilizers were pretty chewed up. One of those 109s must have tagged you, or was it a case of "friendly fire"? Either that, or your Hurri has got a moth problem!😀
What recording equipment do you use to get the replays of each strafe like that? So awesome!
Outside of forgetting the red flare on landing, you handled that engine well...try not to burn them out. Merlins are expensive, chap.
What equipment (joystick, VR gear) do you use to play this? Do you use a full rig with HOTAS and rudder pedals or a simpler joystick rudder combo?
When you see the aircrafts all gray or as if they were under the shadow you have to delete the content of the cache folder (or the entire folder) located in Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover
What's up with the lack of direct lighting in the replays? Is that something that's a known issue or only on your computer?
I haven't played Clod Blitz in a while but I seem to recall lighting working fine in the replays back when tobruk released.
Another career would be nice. Maybe in a littile used aircraft.

Taff what you need are .50s on the Hurricane. That way you can compensate your poor aim with sheer weight of firepower 😁
@@SammySathya : Or wait for the Hurricane II version with 12 x .303" mgs. 12 x .303's are as destructive as 6 x .50's.

Is it me, but the graphics quality really bad ! Like 360 ! The video said 1080 but the skins of these aircraft are really low ..
No I think you have a point there, it was recorded /rendered in 1080 but it looks like TH-cam’s processing has almost downgraded the resolution. Not sure why that’s happened but I’ll have a look into it

Book store? Book shop is how people used to talk in the UK until about 10 years ago. We also don't say gotten here since the 19th Century, it's archaic. I do enjoy these, but the American English is ahistorical.
