On the last mission of this campaign I dive-bombed what I thought was a tanker but after I released my bombs and pulled up I realized it was actually a hospital ship! Fortunately the bombs did not explode. Phew!
Funnily enough I’ve only just finished this Campaign. I loved it. Really good… great to hone my dive bombing skills and appreciate a little of what it was like to fly this infamous legend. Who’s shrill scream could chill the bravest of hearts…
The American Dauntless and Japanese Val dive bombers also had this feature. Later dive bombers (Curtis Helldiver for example) used special gun sights and techniques instead of the floor sighting windows.
Taff, I enjoyed this immensely, the bombing run was especially interesting! I appreciate this video, and it gives some insight into just how intense it must have been to crew a Stuka. GREAT STUFF!
That,l teach the hurricane pilot to keep checking his six !, but I,m wondering why the stuka,s had fixed landing gear ? It must of considerably slowed their airspeed down in flight . Was it just the age of the design or was it to help slow down the dive speed ? IDK
Took up CoD Torbruk again, found my control settings all messed up and battled a few days trying to sort them out. Wasn't able to to click and move waypoints or objects in the FMB at one point. Downloaded an .ini file from the Internet and loaded that, but still had to change the axis and some keymapping to familiar assignments. Bit of a pain
It's the Hurricane's fabric burning away from the metal forward section. They were fabric over metal frame on the rear fuselage and fabric over wood outer wing panels. It could still fly (not very well) because the fabric is just the skin.
Underrated channel. I hope you'll get the attention you deserve
I completely agree. He does deserve way more attention
I concur

Taff, I'm loving the stories and variety! I was not expecting Stukas, and that coordinated port attack was awesome!
This was cool, I didn't know the Stuka had a floor window. I really enjoyed the dive bombing, I would enjoy more like this. Cheers.

@@rodneypayne4827 Cool, I had no idea. Thank you and cheers.

Great episode most excellent,
Great drop on target! 706 Thumbs up.
Somehow the shot of those Panzer III reminded me of my Afrika campaign in Panzer General 2.
Great video as always
Another cool video but are you going to do a riss of flight or il2 career soon?

Does cliffs of dover blitz/tobruk have a built in dynamic campaign, or something similar to pat wilsons combat generator?
You have Oden's Dynamic campaign generator
Were those bombs on a delayed fuse? Beautiful plane and great video 🤙🏻
I like flying the JU-87
wait....did 1C never implement the bomb throwing hand that modders put in IL-2 1946 for dive bombers
Jingles landing :>
I always watch out for collapsing landing gear...now.
Did you wet your flight suit a little when your plane flipped over?
How does fire fall off an aeroplane?

Italy called on her allie Germany because the tommies were clobbering them all the way out of Libya
