Just finished watching 8 episodes of The Glory, wow what a fantastic drama. Song Hye Kyo and cast were excellent. So happy for her and the entire cast. Can’t imagine filming something like that. Wish we didn’t have to wait until March to see the other 8 episodes. Congratulations to all, it’s was great.👏😊
Totally agree. In all her KDramas, I have never seen any marital arts skills. Does she know any? At least with this KDrama in a few episodes I was hoping she would protect herself, especially when she was slapped as a grown up in the gymnasium during the award for her enemy.
Korean actors/actresses are so incredible. I love the way they can sharply inflect their voice when angry or in a rage, so impactful. You really get immersed in the scene. Its unlike anything I watch in the West.

It's just a drama, so it's very exaggerated. Does stuff like this ever happen in Korea? Yes. Do they happen on daily basis? No. And, I've never heard of any victims who got burned by their bullies. If it happened in real life, it'll be on the news. - Edit: Yes, the burning part was actually happened in Korea before, but what I'm trying to say is extreme cases like that don't happen every day not even often. Foreigners say don't judge Korea based on Kdramas, so yeah, don't judge Korea based on this drama, The Glory.
Everyone was STELLAR in this drama. I have to give props to Hye Kyo though. She’s finally taken on a role she’d never done before and absofcknlutely nailed it. I was never a fan of her or a hater, either. But after the shit that she had gone through, not to mention you-know-who “confirming” his new relationship right before The Glory launch, I root for her now. You go, woman!!! And hopefully you can some day find love again; love that actually brings you long-lasting happiness.

Nice narrative. Well said. However, there are some behind the curtain’s information the public will never know about what happened to them. People divorce everyday in this world, especially the SK culture. They don’t stay married very long. Check the statistics on them. They are known for breaking up, that’s why in every KDrama, it’s always, let’s break up. She’s a strong woman, and rich. She will find her way. He’s a man that cannot see beyond a wife, family life and children. He came from a 2 parent home with family, and that’s what he wants. Her, now 41, may not ever want that now since she’s experienced this. Just heartbreaking. But, the stats don’t lie for their culture on high divorce rates. Some of the most famous idols there could not make it in their marriages or relationships. Most of them are single, men and woman idols.

As for his new relationship announcement, any time would have been better than before the Glory premiere. The trailers had been everywhere for at least 1-2 months prior. No way Joongki’s people didn’t know. That’s the thing that really turned me off lol. Because not even Dispatch had reported anything prior to that.
This is so Well Done the acting from all the characters, the writing, the production cinematography is all really good. Haven’t seen a show like this in a while. The FL has wicked chemistry with everyone. I especially love her chemistry with both her side kicks.

This drama's first few episodes actually had me crying because i found it so upsetting. I've heard that the bullying scenes were based off actual real-life bullying cases of the victim being burnt with the iron, not sure how true that is, but it truly is scary. The student & adult actors were perfect for their roles. Their acting was on point, you just can't help but feel that infuriation. I do really hope the actors get the recognition they deserve and can be differentiated from their roles though.

She rose to fame way to early that she immediately got typecasted in certain roles. It was a different case to other actresses who has to try different genre before hitting it big. In some interviews SHK complained also of the roles she is getting but of course she has to keep working for her fans not to miss her. Finally KES gave her what she deserves, a drama that will make people see her differently. It was actually a risk careerwise.

I was the bully and I enjoy this drama too. I enjoy it because I'm reminded that it's fiction, that I have a high paying job in HR in a major corporation, while the losers I bullied aren't actually plotting revenge, they didn't become highly educated teachers, they stayed fucking losers and it's now somebody else's job to bully them without consequences.

One of the greatest KDramas I have ever seen. This was A-List top tier actors, amazing story and I felt EVERY emotion. It was so good I watched the entire season in less than two days, it was that indulging.

Love how even here Hye-Jeong is sitting in the back, apart from the group, as an outsider, pushed away from the others. Love the details in this show, like the fact both yeon jin and dong eun are both wearing white clothes, which is color of death/mourn. They are both about to destroy each other or die together.

I knew it that dark genre suits her well! The first ep creeps me out, I loved that scene where she was wearing the black tee. It was both creepy and hot when she hits her in the face!

Love how even here Hye-Jeong is sitting in the back, apart from the group, as an outsider, pushed away from the others. Love the details in this show, like the fact both yeon jin and dong eun are both wearing white clothes, which is color of death/mourn. They are both about to destroy each other or die together.
