Just when you thought the show couldn't get any camper....
Camp?!
@MeandMonAmi or is it campier? Anyway I'm off to watch
Carry on camping then it'll be
Carry on camping 2024 next week
That face of Richard 😂, when you said buying a tent😅
His expressions are always the best.
I've been wondering 2 years what his real name was
Yes!!! Thank you!
The look on Mr boos face when you mentioned camping was priceless. Bless him.
I’ll win him round!
One day I'd be curious to see when Mr Boo is NOT exciting ... his enthusiasm is so overwhelming 😂 . Well your cliff hanger seems to prove him right...
He’s never quite convinced by my ideas!
It is beautiful Mr Boo's facial skill
Wonderful
Mime is somehow French though isn't it ! (?)
Just brilliant
Thanks
@@MeandMonAmi Oh god, yes, Mr Boo in face paint as a classic french mime, priceless, ...make it so Mr fountain (ps I can imagine how they might pronounce that over halifax way but i'd have to hear it for myself, mis-pronounciation of my name would be enough for me to up sticks to another country too) ..is it basically FounTIN for uk & FonTAIN for france when people get their tongue round it, ...as someone with a very scottish name much fun has been made of my classic name in england, begins with F & is often preceded by the word "dirty"
Poor Mr Boo!
Happy camping, boys! Just beware of bears that sometimes take a stroll from the Pyrenees to the Alpes just to see what's going on there, say hello and make new friends. 😜
Do bears….?
@@MeandMonAmi Allegedly!
Oh no, your first camp out and you have a storm…😀 can’t wait 👍👍
It was certainly an adventure!
With so much material to choose from, it ends up being difficult to buy the right one, and I can't wait for the next episode. You could really see on Mr. Boo's face how excited he was about going camping, lol.
That final part with the preview of all that rain gives the impression that things got quite stormy........
The rain was the least if it!
@@MeandMonAmi There is a good reason that Mr Boo has not camped in the wilds since he was 16, I sincerely hope that you take a bit of luxury food (can o spam aka pourriel to fry slice on a gas burner maybe) :;)) or else you will be tasting mr boo's wrath & not much else till he cools down (could be weeks) ..prime opporitunity to state, we'll be doing more of that cos we've got to get value for money out of that tent... save it for the times when he needs a reality check (aka putting one in one's place) ..if all else fails, tell him "but Twigs LOVES it" ..bloody wind up merchant!
Loved the music in this; made me go all Bob Fosse in the kitchen! 😂
I can see you now!
@@MeandMonAmi It was a sight to behold! 🕺😂
Didn't think you guys needed a tent to be camp! I used to take my kids camping when they were little. It was a good way to create some great memories for them.
It’s certainly been memorable for us so far!
Brilliant fun as always Tim and Mr Boo! Did you mention that you passed your driving test? People need to know! Stay charged ... looking forward to the next episode with popcorn ready! Carry on camping1
I started editing it today it’s quite an epic!
there are 13 things to remember when camping.
1) The weather is not your friend
2) Have lots of string for tying to the guide ropes and to the car roof rails, as the ones provided will not hold in bad weather. (Remember to tie the string in a spider web formation from the upper guide ropes to the car!! with the car parked nearest the wind, and tying off all guide ropes that will be affected by the wind).
3) have something to cut the string.
4) have a car suitable to tie the tent to. so a car with roof rails is kind of a must here, as it will stop the tent from collapsing tying to a roof rack/rails.
5) have a 2nd car for driving around with.
6) be smarter than the weather you will face.
7) never be in an exposed area when pitching a tent.
8) always put the exit of the tent facing away from wind, and rain.
9) make sure you have a backup plan if travelling over water.
10) keep your wit, as things will go south in bad weather.
11) have music to drown out the bad weather.
12) you will always have at least 1 bad night for weather so be prepared before you leave!!
13) if all else fails remember to return to rule 1!!
That sound like very good advice!;
Good rule, checking your equipment first. First time I went camping with OH, she had her tent given back to her by her brother. We got down to the campsite in the Bourgogne. Then found we had a one person tent lining with a 2 person tent cover. So I slept the night with my legs outside the flap, waking up with mozzie bites all over my feet. The Dutch campers with their latest gadgets looked very bemused.
We ended up having to go up to Auxerre to buy a brand new tent!
Ah the memories... LOL
Yes we certainly make some rookie errors this week!
@@MeandMonAmi Looking forward to seeing how you get on, sounds like a nice adventure. 😊
Reminds me of the camping store end of season sale advertised as “Now is the winter of our discount tents”
I like that
Hilarious one! Poor Mr Boo! He gets an Oscar for facial expressions anyday, but in this one he outdid himself! ❤️🥇🥂
I’m saying nowt!
Carry on camping. I can't wait 😊 ooh matron 😂
Oooh er matron 😂
Hello you two!!I live in Nice but originally from st.Ives.I have been here for nine years but I learn so much from your delightfull series!!thank you it is such fun !!really enjoy mr.Boo's expressive face!!
Thanks Julia that’s so nice to hear
Mr Boo looks REAAAAAALY excited.........................................
He’ll warm to it!
@@MeandMonAmi By the look on his face he might warm to it by setting fire to the tent!!!
It's alright the disposable cardboard bag lined camping squatty potty is likely a step up from many seatless toilets you oft encounter in france.
Tim, please do a "bog hopping" video in elton counting loo seats / porcelain only loo's video explanation of publicly accessible loos in france, I did some brief googling on the matter as to "why" loo seats are so often absent, it would make a fun video, you sit in Elton & mr boo go's in to investigate camera in hand (you think i'm joking sir, ...nope)! after decades of staying in france I am no closer to unravelling anything more than the toilet roll, not the truth (which is out there)
Your videos are so enjoyable.
I absolutely love your sense of humour. Home from home.
I'm from North Yorkshire and live in the South of France too.
Long may you continue!
All the best xxx
Thanks Sarah. Please spread the word!
We saw a huge wild boar in the Pyrenees last week… beware the grunting noises in the night
They are very lovely and quite scary! Would they eat our tent?
When you gonna go to Levens Tim? They have a fabulous swimming pool (only open summers) at the highest point with a ridiculous view. They had a putt putt golf next to pool there when I was a kid. (Mid 60s). Don’t know if it’s still there or not. And it’s got quite a history, in the late 50s and early 60s a lot of the older Jews who had survived the war in France moved to Nice. And as it was so hot in the summer, they would all go up to Levens for the summer and rent a room or small apartment. My. “mémé” (grandma) would go there for the summers and my moms and I would go stay with her for long weekends away from the heat in Nice. That pool was one of my greatest childhood memories.
Thanks we must get there! (Can’t believe we haven’t yet!)
@@MeandMonAmi I KNOW, right? So little info online on Levens. Don’t think it’s much of a tourist hotspot. But it does still seem to have that great pool. Highest point in the entire region, so the view is to die for. Don’t forget to bring your speedo!
I enjoy the fact that the chart telling you how easy it is to get up, how easy it is to pitch a tent as they say, is in a shade of blue not dissimilar to a certain pill that makes it easier to get it up…
That’s funny. I wonder if it also has side effects!
You’d never get me going camping in a million years lol. Be interesting to see how you manage next week.
I forget I’m not 20!
Oh the looks from the co-habitor! Pointed or what. What a Carry On may be quite appropriate, but we'll tune in next week to find out weather it was Carry on Raining or not. But you do bring us much insight, fun and pleasure, so please be careful out there! Do you have scorpions, snakes and poisonous spiders? Asking for two fine gents I know....
At least you have Elton to crash down in if things get bad!
We certainly have snakes and a fair few mosquitos!
Cant wait to watch next week!
Thanks Janet

😂Mister Me and Mister Boo and Elton and Twiggy 🐶🐕❤ reet up my street this 'carry on' style vlog, double entendre galore...mote ,more, more,Tim stay safe and well and obviously stay charged 🎉😂
Thanks David!
LOVE it! I camped with my family for many years all over North America, so I know the ropes. We camped very simply back then as a family, and I vowed to someday camp in style...Well, let me tell you, no matter how much you think you know and think you are prepared, the weather always wins! LOL! Went camping for the first time in decades back in June 2013, spent $1100 Euro's on an 8 man tent, cots and bags, stoves, dining tent, lamps and water carriers etc.... and another $1200 Euro's ...on a two man kayak with life jackets etc...all to attempt to camp in 'style'...left when it was 34C at 9am...by 4pm it was 40C...at 11pm it was 27C and stayed that way all night...all next day 42C...humidity off the charts! Got home a day early just in time to avoid a tornedo! ... My little trip lasted 72hrs! LOL! Returned most of the equipment the following day....defeated....here' s hoping your camping experience goes well! 🏕⛈⛈🤪
That’s gives us hope! lol!
After the camping you need to explore On the buses. A motorcycle and sidecar. Who's going to be Arthur and Olive. or if you are feeling super adventuress an open top Bus. That's made my day that has. I hate you butler.
Steady on Matron!
Do you think, we could bring that in Elton?
You certainly could get Elton into that tent 🤣🤣😉
Looking forward to your outdoor adventures...
That’s also true!
Yes camping is not what it used to be from years ago. Its a very cool thing to do now. Lots of creature comforts now available. Also a very Citroen thing to do. Lots of adverts with Citroens and tents.
I didnt know that about Citroen and tents but boy are there some gadgets now (and I like a gadget!
OMG!!
Camping seems awfully straight to me.
They do have special gay camp grounds in America; but I a positively certain that it not for me!!
Poor Mr. BOO ; still think he'll need a place to do his hair?
Love you guy's! ❤
Camp Camp?
Everyday is a camping adventure when you two Queens are involved! God save the Queens. ⛺⛺ Great vlog. ⛺⛺
Queens?! How very dare you!;
@@MeandMonAmi I hope you know it was said with the utmost respect. I love you guys!
A whole new spin on that good old expression - camp as a row of tents ⛺⛺⛺⛺⛺⛺⛺⛺🤣
Indeed!
I remember “ nuts in may “ very well . Candice marie and keith . Written by Mike Leigh ,married to alison steadman ,but now divorced. Alison lived in the next road to me in anfield,Liverpool. My claim to fame was going to the chemist to get some cough medicine for her . Saw her last in Liverpool in2009 at a q and a ,at fact in bold street Liverpool . Absolutely no side to alison at all ,really down to earth .
I assume you have done the camping trip ? Tell me did you get the tent back in the bag ? Maybe I should wait till next week .no spoilers. Stay charged .
It’s still very funny!
Always remember, when camping, stay dry! 🏕
Lolz indeed!
Loved shopping with you both can’t wait for the next instalment 😂
Coming Sunday
If only I had known that you were after camping gear I could have sent you a beautiful flowery Kath Kidston dome tent but as you had a touch of rain probably not the best tent to be in as I remember it did let some moisture in but a can of waterproofing spray should sort it.
That’s sounds very glamorous!
We'we got the same auto cashiers here in Spain in Decathlon, they do 'work'🎉
I hate them in supermarkets but decathlons work
Fantastic, really looking forward to the next installment!
Tonight!
Remember Kenneth Williams wise words to Babs Windsor "Tent up first, Barbara, bunk-up later ! "
Ha!
That was the best so far!!! Lol
Thanks. The follow up is quite eventful too!
We were at the Frejus decathlon last week - it's frightening how much you can spend in there without trying very hard
Yes they’ve mastered the ikea trick!
Into each life, a little rain must fall.
Indeed!;
Bonsoir d'Espagne. Puting you two and the word 'camp' in the same sentence is taking a bit of a risk. I have been camping a few times starting with the sand dunes at Winterton in Norfolk - not my favourite but definitely a difference and cheaper than hotels. It is all about the experience after all. Restez chargé.
I’ve always wanted to camp!
Another great video. Can’t wait to enjoy your camping adventures - not sure if Mr Boo feels the same 😂
He’s definitely not as keen as me
I'm sure you've previously mentioned an E C3. Now there is a full license holder, would the new series be....
' C3 in a Teepee' ?
Lolz we have news on the c3
what a fun video! looking forward to the next!🎪
Thanks Fiona
Happy Campers....
I've enjoyed quite a bit of camping over the years, trailer camping ,all sorts ,every type of camping you can imagine ❗...and caravanning
Love You 2 and Twiggy xxx
Hi guys I thought you got a new car ????
It was very interesting!
Remedy for torrential storms .. Cheapo, impermeable poly - tarpaulin complete with eyelet holes and polypropylene rope, rigged as a flysheet over the tent... Nothing gets through.. So no test of your tents "Head-of-water" permeability occurs. Flysheet also acts as good sunshade... Particularly useful if you secure a cool-box inside the tent during the day.
I fear we are going to learn these things!
By the looks of it theres more of a variety of headlights on offer from the on-line South American company
Oh no the storms !!! Yes we had them here in Brittany you poor guys , can’t wait until next Sunday we just love the pair of you and hey such appropriate music « Carry on Camping « 😂😂
Thanks very much. It was quite a number and totally unexpected!
Mr. Boo, you make me laugh when you explain deplomaticly about your😂 camping experience in the Alps. And please be careful and don't drive too fast with your little car. You could loose your driver's licence. In my country you can even loose you car license when going too fast with your bike. Greetings from Finland
It’s true. Before I had nothing to lose!
HI, looking forward to next week to see how you got on.
Thanks its quite a story
you bought your pop-up tent too early people; I could have sent you one for free; next week the Pinkpop festival (oldest pop festival in Europe) will be held for the 55th time in Landgraaf (Netherlands)where I live; hundreds of pop-up tents will remain afterwards tents behind.
You’d think there’d be a scheme to pass them on to homeless people
Thanks both I like a shopping trip . Congrats on the driving test you are a star. Can’t wait until next week 😱 it looks exciting ….💕💕💕
It’s certainly an adventure!
Just think, if you had bought one of those cheap large plastic containers with a lid I told you about and fixed it to the rear of Elton, you would not have the problem with space. I think they were sold in IKEA. A Very Good and funny Episode. Well Done!! 🧸🧸🐶🚙
We should listen!
Nuts in May... that's a thought, nothing worse than sharing a tent with a Vegetarian.
What a waste!
Candice Marie!
Camping 🏕: the test of true ❤️ 😅
Oh YES!
At 23:10, I was thinking that must have been how old Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin packed in for their little camping trip on the moon.
Indeed!
@@MeandMonAmi "CAM" - Camping Excursion Module
Mama Shelter is in Shoreditch London too...😮
I'd rather stay in A Bradford YMCA !
That’s funny!
The earlier carry on movies were better than the later ones
They were although I love some of the really bad ones too!
I had a dream last night. My sister was driving a van late night. We were trying to go home. She was tired and road changed due to construction. She crashed through a construction site. We were brought to police station and guess who was officer helping us. You were the police officer. In the dream you were so nice and i seemed to know what to say knowing your personality through the channel. At the end got off with no charges. I blurted to my imaginary second sister in my dream that you were a friend.
That’s brilliant. I had a much less jolly one last night!
Nice plans, I look forward to your camping adventures!
Thanks
Hi guy I thought you got a new car. Must’ve missed one of your videos. I think never mind have a great time camping.
Thanks! Same car!
@@MeandMonAmi ok as you passed your test I thought the video showed you getting a new car. I like your little car. Look forward to your videos very entertaining thanks
Please don't try out the new tent at home. The laughs will be on your side if you start packing it without thinking. Let the other campers have fun too.
I speak from experience: what was supposed to take seconds very quickly turned into many minutes. But our neighbours had a great time.
Trust me… we didnt!
...where hopefully, we can begin our Camping Career...??? Umm, well 😇
Lol
Steer clear from earshot of the LumberJack!!
You will not believe it!…
Looking forward to the next episode 👍
Really hope you tried putting up/taking down that new tent before setting off on your camping trip. I have one of these tents, yes it opens up quickly but trying to get it to fold up……that’s the challenge.
Spoiler alert: we didn’t!
@@MeandMonAmi
Ooh err….this could be entertaining Tim 😁
We have got exactly the same tent, it is really very easy to get up and the sun reflection really works well to keep it cool and dark inside. Packing down the tent the first time is a bit of a pain in the rear. I remember looking at Decathlons instruction film on a camping in Denmark for a dozen times, and still didn't manage. I was about to give upp, but a last resort I just tried to fold the tent the same way how I'd fold a bicycle tire and -to my surprise- that worked. The trick is to force the poles into a double pretzel with more force than you'd expect them to withstand. Once you done it once, you'll be able to do it again, but I guess you know how to do it by now.
PS someone needs to design a rear luggage rack for a Citroen Ami!
Yes the taking it down was even more messy than the getting it up!
Luving this channel!
Thanks
A real tour de force this week, the work of an auteur, with ruptured narrative and daring camera work, worthy of Cocteau, joyful but laced with the ennui of late career Piaf, or is it pilaf, I always get those confused.
Wild bores and dodgy folk trying to break in…you’re really selling this camping trip, Tim.
Hi Guys, re the "popup tent" they are remarkable and VERY easy to set up - but beware, they can be a bit challenging to fold back up again. Needs practicing.
Oh yes we discovered that!
Great trip coming❤
Last clamp trip was one of the best episodes ever
Mr Boo 😒- I get it . Not my thing either. Like Why ?? But when your w/ Tim and Twig how can it be awful
Indeed I make everything lovely!;
In Finistere, in the location I was in, you got nocturnal interference from wandering wild boars on tbe campsite and French armed forces helicopters undertaking anti-piracy trainning in and around the local bay.
Nothing worse than nocturnal interference!
You almost forgot to mention the driving test 🎉❤
Do you plan to get a second car? To use for long trips?
Or do you think about using rentals?
Or will you borrow cars for review?
I expect Elton will remain you primary car 🚗❤
Well thanks a lot, the music playing thru the video is now firmly stuck in my head 😕 I'm looking forward to seeing the camping trip, personally I couldn't stay anywhere that doesn't have an ensuite lavatory and a mini fridge.
Edit: a mini fridge in the room, not in the lavatory.
The lavatory is certainly an issue!
HeeHee. Looking forward to the next episode. 😀I went to a Carrefour near Aix en Provence that was over-the-top ginormous! It took up the entire block. I felt like I had run a half marathon when I was done. Too much for me, as well. I’ve tried to imagine how I could set up my Ami to sleep inside of it. (Like take out the passenger seat and fill the foot area with bean bags). But I like this idea better. With just me, I might be able to fit all my gear in the passenger side. But in case I can’t, can you remind me where you got your roof-rack?
Yes if its just you you might manage but we got ours from Handiworld.com
I use my car as a camper , seats fold down and bed inside. Need to do that with Your cami ! When I go by bike I have a decathlon 3 seconds , it's great and you stay dry even here in Scottish highlands
Been trying to work out how to sleep in Elton but…
@@MeandMonAmi you would have to find a way of folding the seats flat , I think they would be enough length if that was possible :)
I do hope you have room for the vat of wine!
I didnt, that was part of the problem!
wait, did i hear it right? did you pass your driving license? thats unvelievable! congrats!
I think I did!
Weres that Review on your A.I.Specks
There’s only one of me!
No pressure, as and when. Let me / us know.

Brilliant
goddamn "Jimmy Saville outing" asdfasdfafghj
So, did you pass your driving test?
😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
Didn’t I mention it?
Btw you forgot to tell us did you pass your driving test lol
Last week episode. Yes he passed.
@arlene i already knew sorry it was meant as a tongue in cheek comment as mr boo was commenting on the fact early in the video and ithink i made the first comment on the video whereTim tells us he had passedsorry again just my twisted humour
I did Pass Ian did I not mention it?
Basic grammar. We went camping. (Past tents)☣
Very good! Yorkshire has different tents!
Tunnel tents, where you can stand erect inside (!), better for the older gentleman IMHO.
Yes I think we are already regretting not getting a tall one. Hard to change your socks etc!
You and Mr Boo might want to spend your summer at the Blausee in Switzerland. Do stop at Reichenbach Falls if you have time. Its the scene of the final fight between Sherlock Holmes and his arch rival, the criminal mastermind Dr, Moriarty.
Been there but missed the fight.
Something you said about getting 70mph going down hill in the Ami at the start of the video
sparked an idea that is probably not legal, but I know nothing about these micro cars and French law.
Is it possible to get these cars de-restricted from their 28mph capped speed after you've passed your
driving test in France? As a "qualified" driver you're legally entitled to go faster than 28mph, so is it possible
to upgrade the motor and battery?
Watching the pair of you camping under canvas is going to be hilarious. Everyone has tried camping and
let's face it, it is horrible, always raining... Then God invented Airbnb and peace reigned. 🙏🏼
I might be legal but the car wouldn’t as it’s a light quad and so the insurance would be invalidated. Now about that camping lark…!;
The weight is going to cramp your style.
Hope not!
You are lucky to be able to witness the rise of Marine and her party in the near future!
Dare we dream the same for dear old England...
Such exciting times for you to video.
Marine Le Pen will put an end to the Le Touquet agreements and let the migrands cross the Channel. Good luck.😅
Certainly won’t lack excitement!
one more nice video of yours... thanks (but, you keep turning your head to Mr Boo while talking and driving..you should stop doing it..very dangerous)
He likes to see me!
I support the alternative plan ⛺👍
And there's nothing stopping the original plan later 🙂⛰️
