I rode at a barn for a while and my trainer was from Germany and trained Friesians for dressage- gorgeous horses. He was a great rider too, and to watch him train his horses was amazing. So pretty!
Eine tolle Show, bin echt begeistert! 5 Sterne! :)
I love Friesians are gorgeous but people always complain about there movement I've ridden them there gaits are different but I quite enjoy them. they are very forward and there front half bounces a lot naturally without training. That's why they always look as if they are dancing.
@kittykittymania lol no the romans brought the breed to england..they're indeed a dutch breed specifically from friesland in the north of the netherlands. It is no way a british breed
@eliselip: You should come to Holland in stead of Germany, because that's the place where Frisians come from (nn Dutch: Fries). Yeah, they're the black pearls of the Netherlands and I'm proud of it!
You mean when the horses are standing still and moving the opposite feat in unison? Thats a dressage move called a Piaffe, and there are many different ways to teach it. Any horse can learn it, why dont you google it and try and find some training techniques.
Very bad cameras! The show is much better than cameras filming!Cameras must to cooperate in order to present the entire picture any time, not only one horse from one camera. What a pity!
I'm not certain but I think I saw this group a couple of years ago. And the year before that and the year before that. What surprised me is they told me the horses were four years old. And the next year and the next year. So OR they're lying OR they're doing something wrong. Again, I'm not sure if this is the same group but riding a four year old like this is asking for problems. Maybe that's why they needed new horses again and again?
Ya ViveLaKeri, I'm going to learn an entire language just so I can figure out how to pronounce three words. That's just rude. Anyways, I'm by no means bilingual, but studied French for a number of years, and "pas de deux" is pronounced pAH duh deuh. (it's a unique sound that doesn't occur in English, but that's the closest equivalent)
I don't know much about horses, but when I saw the Friesian horse in the movie Ladyhawke, I instantly fell in love. Real beauties.

my god how i wish i could afford to buy a friesian stallion! XD absolutely stunning horses!
haha you´re right xD
great horses, so beautiful *_* love Friesians (and Mérens ^^)
The amount of training and time spent to get these horses at this performance level is daunting.
So beautiful. Like the black horse Goliath in "LadyHawk"
Spain has Andalusians, Austria has Lippizanners...and germany has their Friesiens :) Wonderful video, great performance

The Lipizzaners do "Airs Above The Ground", and unfortunately these guys are not trained for that, but imagine how beautiful they would be.
superbe emsemble
once you have mastered the huge scope these animals have they truely are a pleasure.....I am totally in love xx :)
i would LOVE to see this for real
how awesome...
side note..
how DO you pronounce 'pas de deux' correctly?
i love friesians!
Their neck reminds me of the horse chess piece. Very pretty though. :)
Friesen sind einfach schoene Kutschpferde ! :)
i would, but i i have a passion for spanish.
so i was just wondering if someone could sorta give me a clue about it.
@LHaldir aww :( oh well, Lippizaner's are technically Spanish, as are mustangs XP
Hehe not really, but the main character rides around on a Friesian horse =D
Very bad cameras! The show is much better than cameras filming!Cameras must to cooperate in order to present the entire picture any time, not only one horse from one camera.
What a pity!
@loridon1 irs friesland not friesianland
Friesians have such an archy neck that I believe it is a natural headset, not rollkur!@
they almost look fake their so perfect :O

I would be agitated too if I was constantly held back xD
thank you very much, i appreciate it alot. =]
now i can go saying it and not sound COMPLETELY ignorant. haha.
What the heck are you talking about?????????

if u have 20k to spare HAPPYBIRTHDAY lol
@MysweetAnnabelle53 ye well germany wish its was their breed...but nope nope...The Netherlands
Huh?
Donka Shane!!
Absolutely beautiful, but there is totally no need for those awful bits, the horse could actually preform much better without them.
Frisians are beautiful, but this has to be one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen. :D

Das ist aber totale Quatsch!!
@Friesian666 The Friesians Accualy Originated in England, Making the Breed British.
However this is packaged it seems like animal cruelty to me.
