But only people I trust to do their research so I can see the facts or arguments clearly, and nobody does it better than Jesse JusticeForBonehilda McPlumbella! lmao
The amount of tension that just left my body after a miserably stressful two weeks in seeing that Plumbella uploaded a 2.5 hour video is unreal. Absolutely can't wait to get into this.
RE: The 'fashion victim' job title, according to wikipedia: "Fashion victim is a term claimed to have been coined by Oscar de la Renta that is used to identify a person who is unable to identify commonly recognized boundaries of style. Fashion victims are "victims" because they are vulnerable to faddishness and materialism." Also a Green Day song!
I tell this story every chance I get but the sims bustin out is the reason I got glasses as a kid. My mom noticed when I'd start a new sim I'd have to sit wayyy close to the TV to type in my name lol. Thanks sims!
you absolutely ABSOLUTELY need to cover urbz gba/ds version because it starts with you crash landing into the roof with a rocket and its implied you're the same person/hopped dimensions or something.
You're the same person, the time travel shenanigans later in the game confirm as much, you can end up taking yourself back to SimValley briefly by taking yourself to Bustin' Out's release date. Also the recurring cast often says things to the effect of "You look familiar, haven't I seen you somewhere else before?" when ya get reintroduced. Sidenote not to nitpick, but you only see the wreckage of the rocket, not the crash, so it's a wink to those who played the last game that you started working at King Tower pretty much right after the end of Bustin' Out. OH! Also! Uncle Hayseed will give you a ring now and then to tell you that the chickens miss you! 🥺 I absolutely agree though, she ought to check the game out! Preferably the DS version, as it's essentially the improved upon version of the GBA release and has additional characters and an entire epilogue you otherwise don't get. 😊
Man, Bustin' Out was my first true Sims experience. It's close to my heart. It's really cool to realize now that there's several Sims1 items in the game (or they look extremely similar), and Sims1 music (in the hot tub limo a jazz song from Sims1 plays), and I always think of now as a half-step between 1 and 2. Your socializing is very much Sims1: if the Sim has a grumpy personality, they won't like jokes or hugs. If they're friendly, they like hugs, etc etc. Which makes the game challenging with needing friends and promotions to progress. Having kids also works the same and the kid doesn't grow up (but can go away forever into military school if they fail school?!). But it has some Sims2 qualities to it where you can customize how your Sim looks more than in Sims1 (changing clothes and eye/hair colors), and it being 3D. And it has a lot of the raunchy humor that the first early games had. And then it just has it's own thing of progressing and fixing up the other families' houses and climbing the ladder to get to the top of every career. And the music!! The title and loading screen songs and the freakin' DJ techno music... It's SO Sims and early 2000s and funky. UGH UGH. I could ramble about it forever.
yes yes yes yes yes!!!! this was the first sims game i ever played and not enough people talk about it! it has the best music and the funniest interactions and sound effects. it’s the most nostalgic sims game for me. i’m so happy for this video!
I loved the Sims Bustin Out!! Me and brother used to play all the time! I distinctly remember Mom being a messy nag, Mimi being rude for no reason, having vehicles, the different lots we could visit (including the nudist colony). Man EA doesn’t make them like they used to
I rarely got further than moms house 😂 I remember struggling so hard with finding the time to learn how to cook to not set the house on fire, and learning mechanics to fix the tv which was a goal. But there was also only one bed, so in order to sleep you had to befriend mom (no clue how they did that before the game started) or else she would kick you out of bed. But aside from this all, you needed to get promoted and get your freakin scooter back 😂 Loved this game so much, though
@@Plumbella it takes a bit to get the hang of but once you get the terminology down i find its pretty easy! i only needed like 2 practice projects before starting on a blanket

I haven't looked back ever since.

There were cultural influences from Britain, in fashion and social norms, as well as the Industrial Revolution, but the Americans did not have a “Victorian Era” so to speak :)
I’ve had such a shit the past two weeks with being so busy at work! And now Liverpool are on international break! Luckily the goddess Jesse has uploaded The relaxation you give me is something I can’t describe. Time to watch this on repeat all weekend!
I grew up with Bustin' Out, didn't even have a memory card for weeks after getting it (mom knew I liked the sims, she did not know ps2 memory cards were tiny and we needed a bigger one). I played sooo many hours of it, and the first time I got to the "final" house I was so proud of myself. I miss this game & the sims Castaway every single day
I never played this one, but I played sims 2 on the DS and while now a days I could finish it in like 20 mins with time traveling (as opposed to the months before WITH time traveling) it still is so special to my heart. It was so fun and silly.
I had such a fun time watching this, especially as I’ve been replaying this game recently! I would LOVE for you to make the Urbz video. It’s still my favourite game, sims or regardless, of all time!
Bustin Out was my first sims game, so it holds a v special place in my heart. I was gonna say I miss it, but no I still have it and still play it every now and then lmao
It's like a core memory for me as a kid hiding under my covers with my clear cased game boy advance, with a tiny lamp thingy plug into the top so I could see the screen, playing the sims bustin' out all night.

bustin out was the first ever sims game that i played and it GENUINELY was my favorite game of all time (the intro was indeed the best)
LOVE your longform content so much, appreciate all the time and effort you put into these
This was my first Sims game. I had it on the GameCube.
I love these videos Jesse, they bring me so much joy.
I am loving the long videos! Doesn't matter what they're about I know if it's a plumbella video I am going to have a great time
bustin out was my very first sims game I ever played,I LOVED it. It was what made me eventually beg my dad for sims 2
I’ve had such a shit the past two weeks with being so busy at work! And now Liverpool are on international break! Luckily the goddess Jesse has uploaded
The relaxation you give me is something I can’t describe. Time to watch this on repeat all weekend!
the coyote howl from Dudley's lot lives, in spite of Malcolm, rent free in my mind.
It’s still my favourite game, sims or regardless, of all time!
plumbella is always so freaking pretty, like no matter what hair color she has shes always so stunning, like i can't stop staring lol
FANTASTIC timing. I just bought a used GameCube copy of Bustin’ Out for my Wii and I’m excited to play it again now
Bustin Out was my first sims game, so it holds a v special place in my heart. I was gonna say I miss it, but no I still have it and still play it every now and then lmao
Ngl, I took a nice nap on the couch with my cat about 15in in, so thanks for the bedtime story
It's like a core memory for me as a kid hiding under my covers with my clear cased game boy advance, with a tiny lamp thingy plug into the top so I could see the screen, playing the sims bustin' out all night.
This is so crazy bc I’ve been playing Bustin’ Out on my old Gameboy SP the past couple weeks 😂
Please do a video like this on The Sims Urbz. I enjoyed this style of video so much. Plumbella content always hits. 🔥💗
