Not everyone does online dating. Many people are still very adverse to the concept and meet people in their schools, workplaces, etc a lot more commonly than the latter.
This is true, but meeting someone in person, I can tell right off bat a lot quicker that they’re going to be a waste of time. I’m less invested. It’s easier to sell someone a dream that you meet online. It sounds weird, but there is a difference IMO. I also think online dating gives people access to us who never should have stood a chance. I know they say the wider the net, the better, but not always.
I had a profile on hinge and I kept it for about two months..it just didn’t feel right plus all of the guys I matched with would ask the same question “what are you looking for in a man?” 🙄and to add insult to injury I saw my ex husband on there with pictures that were 5 years old AND he conveniently forgot to fill out the section “do you have kids?” Added the fact that he has a master’s degree but left out the fact that he has two kids by two different women 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🤔 Yea so I’m done with online dating !

Majority of these men online have massive insecurities they seek validation from women, when you text them they will purposely take days if not week's to respond. If a guy can hold a normal conversation and seems interesting and tries to move on for a meeting IRL in a public,safe place, that's all right, if he invites you to his place or any location of his special preference (usually next to him) then you don't go. Easy. Better meet a man in a safe and public environment where you can leave at any moment (choose an area you know well and have available transportation) than just entertain a potential creep. A woman met this guy on the train back home, they talked back and forth and he invited her for a dinner at some nearby restaurant, after building rapport he invited her to his place for drinks, but then he threatened her with a knife, beat her up and raped her. I guess she wouldn't think a guy commuting by train was a predator, well he was.

Happened to me. My MIL meddled constantly. It wasn’t the only thing that caused our divorce but she caused a lot of unnecessary stress. He felt torn and would try to defend me but also felt loyalty to her “feelings” 🙄 glad I got rid of both of them and their toxicity.

I have to admit, every single time I’ve gone on a dating site, I don’t last a week..I’m just not built for it. This is definitely a walk of faith. This is the harsh truth ladies. I met my husband online 4 years ago, after a child and thinking we’re a great couple, found out he was talking to other women AND one of my associates saw him on a dating site and sent my friend a screenshot. Needless to say, we’re separated after finding out he was cheating. Online dating is just too easy for men and there’s too many options in their eyes out there.
