Really enjoy your videos. I'm currently trying viewing all I can of your stuff. I'm trying to get into rc racing with my 3 sons. Thanks and keep up the amazing work
Wow man I am so glad to see this video I really want to get into racing asap! I live in Tulsa Oklahoma so hopefully I run into you guys sooner or later in the RC world huge fan man can’t wait until I’m all healed up from this heart surgery and can get back to work!! I want to race so bad lol
I'm from Suriname, South-America. Also a big Traxxas fan. Enjoying all the vlogs from Mark Santa Maria, especially this one. I own 4 Slashes, LCG & HCG. We created a small backyard track and we race every saturday and sunday.
Man your giving me a great idea. I’m a NAMBA rc boat racer. I run both electric and Gasoline boats and while it is cheaper than some rc racing it can be pricey and takes a lot of knowledge to set them up. We are trying to get more people in the hobby and your video made me think that a box stock traxxas blast class would be great.a person in theory could be on the pond for $250.
I think this a fantastic idea and program. There are so many people that have a Slash sitting in their garage or basement that would race if a program like this was available. There are a lot used Slashes out there that people can buy. Keep up the good work and I hope the idea spreads.
Where I'm from, we get into stock TT02 racing. all in, I spent about $300 Canadian, which is about $240 US. However, it is either on road or rally. cool video! We don't have spec Slash around here, In actual fact, I haven't seen Traxxas models in actual races anywhere here.
Thats so awesome...trying to push a handfull of people up here to pitch in and help me get this started. Love to have a friendly cross country race one day. Great as always Mark...loved the line up🤙🤙👊
Love the concept Mark, fantastic idea, just wish I lived in the states, but over here in UK especially Scotland the idea would never get off the ground. I love all your content and ideas, just wish there was a traxxas outlet over here like you have on your doorstep. If they did franchises I would be in like a flash. btw..... where did you get the Robbie Gordon bodyshell?.... its wicked.
It'd be great to start a spec Slash Racing series at Paddlesworth, but that's probably just as far away from you as it is from me (being based in Germany). I love the idea though.
That is a custom paint job by Kyle Vergera. He now paints all my bodies. The colors are for Bash Place RC in Norman Oklahoma. That was a clear slash body to start with.
@2:01 “big name pros” 🤣 🤣 c’mon… I love this channel but you gotta see why that’s hilarious, we talkin rc racing here, don’t think Lando Noris or Max Verstappen are showing up here lol
@@cgscott the fact that you have to tell me that is the point. Dude I’m an rc fanman on my way to becoming a fanboy, especially arrma after snatching up the outcast 8s exb with 160a ESC/Spektrum 780kv, 6100 receiver DX5 radio and X100 kg servo. I know the ESC can be upgraded to take 12s, that’s cumin soon. I’m not a passing troll, I’m just laughing, in jest, at the ‘big name’ moniker
This only works if you have a spec slash class local and I live in Oklahoma city and there is no spec slash class in the one carpet track we have. Shaw is over a 2 hour drive for me and it would be stupid to drive that far to race when you have local tracks closer. So while it might be the cheapest it might not be a option. U forgot to mention the losi 22s for 199 as well. I prefer it over the slash all day. Handlles alot better amd is more durable then the old tired slash design. Its also backed by a racing bread company over the slash being a basher since pretty much the tr1 Era. Traxxas is no longer the cheapest or the fastest in rc lol
@@VintageVelocity76 do they? When did Gary start doing this? I don't usually go in on a Wed day but I only see 10th scale buggy and stadium truck. I race at mojos or Taylor
@@jeffbryner5355 we just started again. Raced the last two Wednesdays. Will continue as interest grows. First Wed we had 4 racers and 2nd Wed we started with 6 drivers. Class is growing and welcome to all.
All good in theory and various skill level brackets is better BUT ‘spec’ is a dirty word. Whether cheats/creativity or just outspendin others on motors batteries or even fresh tires. It will sadly find the same pitfalls. -U10

Awesome video MSM, i would like to start a spec slash racing series here in New Brunswick Canada.

Can you run aluminum replacement parts in the spec class? I'm considering a racer I can bash as well

Is there a rules list of what can and can't be done?
Sounds fun but we can do box stock mini-z for cheaper. I think you can be really competitive for $250
How do you get that body... It's sweet
Love the content, you keep the hobby exciting and fun for all ages and experience. keep it up MSM!
I've never been a fan of Traxxas but if they had a Traxxas spec class in my area I would buy a couple in a heartbeat.
Love the slash love. Would like to see more videos of the spec slash racing. Looks fun👍
Do you have this in Canada yet or planning to start

Looked like a great event👍
Can older smashed compete or just new ones
Does anybody know whats the name of that limited body on the slash?
What is up mark great race how do you set your slash up I have a slash ultimate any suggestions?
i club race a spec slash.. its a blast, crap load of fun..
DFW1RC you can get into 1/18 scale oval for around $250 car, battery, and transponder.
I have to ask how did those s1 guys go so fast? Don’t they have to use stock motor etc? Looks like a blast.
Great information thanks for looking out
need a spec arrma senton class...vs spec slash a fun rivalry race

Ebay, its very exclusive and expensive since it was a limited run

FUN STUFF 😀👍. SMASHED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
Been thinking about buying a slash but I am not sure witch would be the best the best to learn on, my goal is 1/8 scale buggy racing any thoughts ?
I remember my first novice race with my Slash! Now it's a buggy 👍 Great video!!!! #msmnation
Good evening brother cool channel enjoy the weekend
But is this a brushed event or brushless
Brushed. It’s a base 2WD stock slash.
Have to ask. The body on that Slash I don’t believe I have ever seen it. Want one. ❤

@@VintageVelocity76 it is awesome looking
Yep, that looked fun.
Had to edit out Cody Cooper 🤣🤣🤣
Do we just SHOW UP for the next one at Gold Star on Nov 13? Thinking about ordering a slash today and getting back into the hobby.
you can register in advance, i'll share the wbesite when i get home
@@lgorto I see that now. I thought you just showed up, but I guess I'll try and register first.
I just saw you on hwy 380 in denton👍
Lol… headed to a haunted house with the fam ;)
Parker House?

To me it would be interesting to see pros drive a box stock slash.
Anyone else smile or was it just me?

First?😂
Traxxas makes junk! And no one seems to want to admit it. Never had a Traxxas that lasted.
