  • Stud connectors are very useful if you ever need to join two pieces of threaded bar (studs) together. Brought to you by www.ultimatehan...

Nice vid. I live in Florida (where we sometimes have hurricanes). My garage has threaded rods that run through the walls from from the foundation to the roof. Basically the roof is bolted to the foundation. Those connectors are used in various places to join sections of the rods together. It does seem like quite a strong connection. Thanks for the explanation.

They should make stud connector in different sizes. They will come in handy for bicycles

Informative video, we use them to hang cable trays at work, being a belt and braces man a dab of thread lock doesn't go a miss either if it's a permanent fix. Plus the nut😊...

Cracking video as usual mate. Where's best to buy these? Just had a quick look on screwfix but had no luck.
    Cheers!

I got mine from this company based in Blackpool, but they don't have an online shop as their site is still being built. www.fyldefasteners.co.uk/
You can get them from sellers on ebay too ;-)

So this is not a sleeve nut? Sleeve nuts connect threaded rods to provide adjustment.

A sleeve nut is something completely different in the UK- duckduckgo.com/?q=sleeve+nut&ia=web 👍

Hi U.H. do you know if there is anything on the market that is the same outer dimension but internally will reduce the size from M10-M8 ? I must admit that I haven't really tried to find any or what they would be called but I may have a job requiring something like that. Cheers pal. N.

I wasn't sure myself and in the past I have welded a M10 and M8 connector together but it looks like these will do the trick, but they are round externally instead of hexagonal ebay.eu/1A4LTbv

Blimey, only just realised the price of them!
I was going to buy a few packs to keep in the garage but at that price I won't bother LOL
