    Niema, Coltrane, My favorite things!? ? the fact that Lemmo knows these tunes and can play them with the level of creativity and nuance is mind blowing. The guitar and Lemmo are limitless in their tonal and creative pallet.

      @@martinos877 and they also used to do that to the first SG Les Pauls until they started going up in price too. They do that to some of the archtop models too; sadly.

      Well... It makes no sense to have a clear sparklely p-up if you're going to turn down the tone pot all the time. Take it out and put it in any Gibson solid body, put in a Duncan JB if that's your tonal approach. If you're going to rock out, then certainly leave it in.

    That blonde ES-175 would be one of my favorite things
    (to have leaning around my castle)
    You know two clean humbucking pickups together can be magic
    (if one has the stuff to bring them out) especially PAF's

    Great demo but sorta lost me with the OD. Dug the clean tone :)
    Driving with KCSM Jazz 91 (yes, i'm old) just today andhear some Pat Metheney.
    Think of his blonde 175 he used for years (saw him for Travels).
    Interview nearly 10 years ago he said he'd retired the guitar.
    It was literally falling apart but he couldn't trust anyone to work on it.
    yes, the tooth brush on the ZigZag tail piece has been there for years.

    Got a '62 ES-175 sunburst that plays like a dream! However, someone removed the PAFs before I got it and put in newer humbuckers. I put in some Seymour Duncan Antiquities; which sound much better.

      Cat Scratch Fever was my first concert ever...around 1978-79. I honestly didn’t know many Ted songs, but my friend wanted to go & my mom had just gotten a new Camaro she said I could take, so. Turned out to be a really fun concert.

      He says in the video; a Coltrane tune; the first one. Then he switches to a tune from The Sound of Music.

      The first was a Coltrane jazz piece. The second was “Favourite Things” from the Sound of Music. The third was improvising around the main riff from “Stranglehold” by Ted Nugent, who famously played hollow body Gibsons really loud.
