I graduated Hobart High School, obviously many years later, and I never had a chance to meet him. Almost did in 1987 but he had to bow out because his wife was ill. DAMMIT!!!!!!!!
@MrJIMBOB57 Thanks for taking he time to express your appreciation. You have inspired me to dig out more from the archives! Please pass on the word - I want to share these priceless recordings with the many!
i am not sure who is better the eastman wind ensemble or this band...where did they get so many excellent players??..all sections are amazing!!! i am so glad i found this band..i am sure most or all players have excellent bands or members of symphonic orchestras around the world.
...the definitive recording for so many of us...speaking with Dr. Revelli twice in the space of 5 years preceding his passing, he was very kind and informative, very willing to offer help and suggestions...I really appreciated his forthright adjudication, and wanted nothing less...Thanks for posting these...they're priceless...
still Ravelli inspired me knowing what he had accomplished in his day. I did speak with a clarinet player with the director who followed him and who also worked under Fred Ebbs. Lucky old man.

Revelli had Hobart High School playing like they were the New York Philharmonic.
