I had the same issue with the chisel tool mod. I did everything I could. I even deleted and downloaded the mod again, updated all other mods in case they had something to with it, tried debugging and repairing the world, but it was no go. The world was unrecoverable, it was so bad that trying to load the world crashed the game completely. Which sucked big time, because I had spend nearly 20 hours already there doing creative builds. I've been wary of using the mod ever since.

I'm sorry to hear that. This was the first time I ever had this issue and I have not seen much mention of it otherwise.
