There’s a TH-cam channel who claimed to have found a photo taken inside Gol Flight 1907 shortly before the mid-air collision. He posted it on TH-cam and said he took it from deep web. We CANNOT prove if it’s legit. All we know about this photo is that it was taken on board Gol Boeing 737-800 flying over the rainforests in daytime. The camera was placed on the window and it took this photo of the plane’s left wing. The right bottom corner of the photo has a date stamp showing the same date as when Gol Flight 1907 crashed.
For anyone wondering what damage the green plane (DHC-3) suffered: The plane’s windshield shattered and the left rear door fell off the plane. When the plane landed, it shuddered violently and its floats separated. This caused the plane to flip as it landed.
Not exactly sure how severe the damage would be if the plane did impact the rock, but the aftermath photos show the plane was so close to hitting it. But the plane flipping upside down probably quickly decelerated it from impacting the land.
just in case for anyone wondering None of the 5 people onboard the dhc 2 survived (the plane which brok3 up mid air) and 1 person on board the otter didnt survive either, making the number casualities to 6, the other 10 people on board the otter survived though

I flew on that Otter a week earlier on the Misty Fjords tour. I sat in the copilot seat where that woman died. The NTSB used my photos for their report. I haven’t flown non-commercial since.

The reason why the pilots onboard N595PA couldn’t see the other plane was due to a window post blocking the pilot’s view. Even in fact if they saw the plane it would still be too late to act.
The photo taken by one of the passangers on N952DB is terrifying, especially when you realize no one survived on that plane
