- This is the FIRST Auditions Group where Candidates 1-10 will step up in turn and choose to wrap either a Wing Mirror Cap, Petrol Flap or Door Handle off a BMW X1 or BMW X2 from BMW Park Lane in either Gloss Red, Gloss Grass Green or Gloss Light Blue Avery Dennison Supreme Wrapping Film.

Watched closely by Wrap Supremo Nicco and The Boss Yianni on the Red Team alongside Wrap Wizard Mark and Special Ops Bert on the Blue Team, each candidate has just 5 minutes to make an impression.
After each group of 10, Yianni/Nicco and Bert/Mark must both eliminate 2 from their bottom 4. Once all 40 candidates have been through the Audition (4x videos with 10 in each) stage, the teams must now draft pick their top 6 onto their teams.
You thought wrapping was easy? Think again.
Those 12 will be our Finalists and all get:

I attempted to wrap my car for the first time... and to be honest, it wasn't hard at all, little bit of trial and error on one side, finished it in 1/4 of the time the other side. Obviously I'm not fast, but the end result is perfect, way better than many "professionally" wrapped cars I've seen. Hardest part was doing big panels by yourself.
Not sure who's idea this all was but it's brilliant, good luck everyone.

Great execution, this should be picked up a TV station.
One tip is that when deciding where to rank the wrapper (Ex: @18:20) over their voice from the interview show a couple seconds on their final wrap job, maybe like a pan around the wrapped piece. Gives us a better clue on what the judges are talking about when they are critiquing the wrapper.
Just wait until the professor’s audition is shown.. Adam should win it for me

I wish i recorded doing my wing mirrors then, It actually wasn't hard and they are using Avery which is some of the best wrap in the business. Non of the cheap stuff like i did for my wing mirror which is staying strong coming upto a year now. Used some 3m Matt black to wrap my roof of my car, this was slightly more difficult but did it in half a hour and it even started raining too. Not been funny but this guy who went first was god dam awful. He doesn't know you dont want to heat and stretch if you can help it. Only use heat to help but you need to glass your surface out by hand as much as possible before using heat to help. Because if you stretch it has a sort of memory so in warm weather it will only want to return to it's previous shape.

I've never even wrapped before except my windshields and side windows, but these guys aren't even using tools. Obviously you would cut the excessive paper to lighten your headache before even putting it on. They just slammed the whole piece of wrap on it, and also picks the smallest object as well... LOL!
This looks like one of those career opportunities that I missed out on but know I would've given it my all if given the chance..

We wrapped whole car trunk (not flat!) with a piece that was short and stretched it like 20%, using only the sun, no heatgun , outside, while wind blows dust everywhere. It was a carbon fiber mesh. 2 guys with no experience what so ever. How TF no one can wrap a petrol cap in 5 minutes :D
I'm having a job interview tomorrow (for car wrapping, obviously), wonder if it'll be like this too xD

You know, as a guy who has only toyed with the idea of wrapping my own car and watched youtube videos. I really felt like the first guy was more of a representation of what my results would be.
It is easy if you apply yourself, watch videos, buy some vinyl and PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE. also there are different types and grades of vinyl on the market, do your research and find out the difference between cast and calendered vinyls, buy a heat gun and an infrared thermometer along with some decent blades and fluids. we are not playing with stickers here guys.
