I love his laugh. I also love the part where he's talking about the Deadly Years episode where Kirk ages to 90 and says "I didn't want to be old Captain Kirk. I had to fight it, I had to fight being old". Little did he know that in real life, at the age of 90 he would be fighting against age and all the stereotypes that come with it, still continuing to push himself and not give up on life. He is a truly inspiring man. Thank you for uploading this- these 60's interviews seem to be somewhat rare as I can't find many on TH-cam although I imagine he must have done hundreds during the shows air. I wish I could see them all.
Really enjoy seeing these old clips, when the show was just ending its run and was still relatively new. Little did he know how immensely popular the show will become in the next few years to today's phenomenon! Interesting to note that he was probably going through his divorce and has stated that he was broke during this coming period, as the show was to be announced as cancelled within weeks after this aired. Last episode aired in June 1969, which the series had already been cancelled at that time. Glad that William Shatner is still with us at 93!
This is the only post Star Trek footage of William Shatner where he still looks like Jim Kirk. Even by the time of his 1970 episode of Medical Center he's physically altered.

“Had to play me at 90 years old”. And now he is but is stronger over his portrayal.

*He looked very different in his guest starring role on Medical Center in 1970.
He's too intelligent for most people.
I liked Shatner, but he was such a shameless ham!
He was fantastic in Roger Corman’s 1961 movie “The Intruder.”
