    Good video. I bought this machine a couple years back and I'm very happy with it - It is a beast. This machine has no issues handling the ice/slush mess at the road and launches it about 40-50 feet away. I recommend swapping out the incandescent bulb for a LED as it makes all the difference in the world during night operation.

      Great video, very detailed. I have a question for you. I have this exact same machine the Ariens 11528LE and I would like to replace the headlight with an LED light. What size LED bulb would you suggest to put into this machine and also how would you go upon replacing the LED bulb with the incandescent bulb? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I have the pro series of this machine for 14 years. It works great. I just bought some snow chains for the tires. I need to adjust the drive on the first and second gear.

    Your channel has been helpful as a new home owner with typical small engine equipment (lawnmower,snowblower, etc) also local to Chester county pa, I like to support local businesses while doing diy on my machines to better learn how they operate. I have a ariens 920014 I bought in great shape used last year. At the end of season I drained the fuel from the carburetor and would like to know how to get fuel back into the carburetor when the time comes this winter. Do I need to simply turn the fuel supply on an prime with the bulb pump? I also put stabil into my my fuel when I fill my 5-gallon can and ran it close to empty but curious as to anything special to prep my machine for this winter. Thank you and love the channel!!

      Fill fuel tank on snow thrower and gravity will do the rest. The biggest issue with snow throwers in this area is storing them correctly so the fuel doesn’t go bad and it sounds like you are doing it correctly by taking the fuel out. Remember this, if you need to use the choke in the on position to make the engine run smoothly, you have a carburetor issue from fuel going bad inside the carburetor which will block the flow of fuel making you use the choke to compensate fir the blockage. Using fuel stabilizer is a must to keep fuel fresh but remember to have fresh fuel at the start of each season. It is better to store fuel in large quantities because gas goes bad faster in small quantities. The best thing to can do to prepare for winter is to start and run your machine at least for 20minutes a month before the winter hits so you 100% sure it is running correctly and check belt tension for auger drive belt. Tire pressure and oil level too.

      New homeowner here. How do u drain all the fuel?? And how do u remove the fuel from the carberator? I’m trying to learn, but there’s soo much to know!!

    Best video I have found on starting my Ariens!!! :)
    When u are using the machine, the choke should be off??? The choke is only used to start the engine?
    When u are done with using the machine, so u need to cool down the engine before shutting it off?
    Could u do a video on maintenance and how to winterize it correctly?? Thanks!!!! :)

      The choke should be in the off position when using the machine. No need to cool engine down. I will try and make a video on servicing the machine the next time it’s in for service. Please give this video a like, subscribe and tell your friends about my channel to help it grow. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for watching!

    Thank you for the video. I have the possibility of purchasing a 11528 pro series. Does it have auto turn ? Is the Techumseh motor good for many years?

    • @JohnsonsSmallEngines
      @JohnsonsSmallEngines  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Im not sure if this model has a easy turn system. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen one of this model. Some models did. You need to physically look at it to really know if they had them. To hard to tell unless stated. I’m my opinion, any engine can last a very long time if maintained properly. It it up to the user. The engine on this model is a beast and if taking care of should have a very long life :).

    How hard is it to turn? Does it have to be man handled to turn around? I see the new models have "auto steer"

    • @JohnsonsSmallEngines
      @JohnsonsSmallEngines  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mike, this model is a heavier machine and it does need a little more strength to get it around. Some due come with the triggers on each handle which does make it easier to turn. I will say if you have a lot of snow in the winter months where you live? This machine is a great snow thrower. Heavy duty. If you do not get much snow , this machine may be too big for you.

      @Squad 101 ok, I’ll see what I can do but don’t hold your breath. I am in peak snow thrower preventative maintenance before winter so may not be able to get it done until winter or spring. Do you know the entire mower deck needs all pulleys and bearings? I normally don’t perform all that at one time. Also you either can replace the hub assembly as a whole unit or do individual bearings. I have a video on how to install mower deck bearings on a John Deere L100 which you can use to see how to perform bearings only. The hubs are easier but much more $.
