Thank you so much for your honesty. It really felt like you were just a colleague trying to explain how it all worked, rather than some salesman. You're great!
Would be nice to afford $30 plan at some point, but for now I'll have to stick with $10. First time I paid it I couldn't even use all 200 min, there was 50+ left unused. Now I'm finishing second month (not in a row), and I only got close to draining those 200 min couple days from reset because I got an actual client asking a lot of specific illustrations. I'm considerig to switch to Standart only if it feels like it can sustiain itself. That is, if this client really pays promised ~$100 for nearly 100 pics each of which requires a lot of attempts, and by the end we end up using all of it before next month. Especially if that client is not the only one I find over the month. Otherwise... it doesn't seem like it can be something that brings more money than it eats, to be honest. And I really can't afford subscriptins that don't pay for themselves. Don't even have Netflix lol
I hear you! One of the reasons I justified Midjourney to myself is that I thought it could produce a return lol Congrats on working with a client, keep up the good work!
I had been on the Basic Plan for several months. I was already exploring other image generators and was already regularly purchasing DALL-E and RunDiffusion credits; I wanted to keep a hand in all platforms without breaking the bank. With the quality boost in Midjourney V5, however, Midjourney quickly took center stage in my work, and I started running out of hours a couple of times per month. The cost of top-ups were coming close to, but not over, the Standard Plan, but I decided to try out the Standard nonetheless (monthly ). With the unlimited relaxed generations I found I was really letting loose with exploring and refining concepts and prompts, No hesitation. It’s easy to switch between fast and slow hours in a prompt, and I often tackle multiple concepts at once, so the wait for relaxed generations - which can be quite fast depending on time of day - is not a problem. So, the step up to the Standard Plan ended up being a good choice.
Thanks for sharing! I completely agree with alternating between relax and fast hours. I think unlimited relax generations is like the coolest thing ever lol
Thanks, I just got the pro plan! I was discouraged from using mid-journey in the past because things seemed complicated on discord! I am glad they have a website now! I would have never known about the privacy option with the pro plan if I hadn't watched your video they have no explanation of what the plans offer!
We went through the basic plan generations in 4 days, then switched to standard. Actually looks like we won't use all of them. Love that favoriting things not only makes them easy to find again, but also has earned us about 5 free fast hours this week alone...
The basic plan is what I have and if you have i ideas, I would highly suggest writing your prompts out in advance because that will save time and waste
A question: I've heard that in relaxed mode, each time we use the service, we're placed one position back in a queue. In other words, each time we use it, it becomes slower, and this queue resets at the end of the month. What's the longest wait time you've experienced for generating an image in relaxed mode? I'll need to generate 2 thousand images in a month; is the standard plan sufficient? Because in the standard mode, 15 hours give around 900 generations, so I would need to generate 1,100 in relaxed mode, is that feasible?
here is what I wrote to your question in another video - "I mean ... it might be 'feasible' but it won't be fun to do. Like, you'll have to wait a long time between generations. Maybe around 10 minutes or more. But I also haven't dipped into Relax mode in a long time, so maybe the wait-times have gotten shorter."

Unlimited at a slower pace! You pay for a certain amount of 'fast hours' per month - and then once you use those hours, you can generate unlimited pictures but you need to wait in line with everyone else using the 'relax' mode

Under the upscale, you'll see a button called 'Custom Zoom' - a prompt box will open and it will let you change the aspect ratio. MAKE SURE YOU CHANGE THE '--zoom 2' to '--zoom 1' Now if you change the ratio to something super different, like taking a square and making it 4:1, Midjourney will fill in the canvas and your image may look slightly different. But if you go from a square to like 3:2, it will basically stay the same.

@@CanisoGaming same here I went to Leonardo ai but it didn’t do what mid journey did. also for the 30 standard what does that mean? I can use mid journey for the all month until my subscription is finished right?
can I sell Midjourney created images on Etsy?
You can do whatever you want with your MJ images. But I'm not a lawyer. So I would read over the Terms of Service if you're getting involved in a business
So in the standard plan you have 200 fats generations and unlimited relaxed generations?
Yeah. Basic plan has no relaxed mode - Standard plan has unlimited relaxed gen
Hi, if we went from basic plan yearly billing to standard, do we have to wait until our subscription over, or we pay the remain and get standard plan?
I'm pretty sure it will tell you when you try to do it. I think you will only have to pay the difference between the two tiers. So if the Standard plan is $30, and you were already paying 10, you would only have to pay 20 more. Do you know what I mean? Don't quote me though ...
Thanks for this. 👍 $10 will give you about enough time for your jaw to drop. That's it.
If privacy is a major benefit, go for the pro account. Otherwise I'm doing very well with the $30, monthly.
Yeah the privacy is the real choice you need to make eh?
After we download can we delete them from the mj gallery cos of no privacy?
@@pruthvisheila If you don't have the private plan, anything you create or upscale is visible to all, regardless of whether you delete it.
The next part I'm not 100% sure about but:
Even if you have the privacy plan, your work will be available to Midjourney of course. It just gets hidden from other users.
Midjourney keeps declining my cards for some reason and it’s really pissing me off
Sorry to hear pal, wish I could help!
$0??
That's the dream
Why people always want free stuff, but when they offer a service they want money xD.
Bcos they don't accept cards and other payments from some countries.
@@stormk-1130 I think it's bc the income is not the same everywhere, yet the price is. For example, here the minimum monthly wage is around 280$, working 48h a week. I'm sure that's a joke for the US, with untrained jobs giving over 12$/hour
Oh, let me tell ya, the choice is a no-brainer, folks! The basic plan is even too pricey for my taste, can you believe it? So, by the end of the month, I find myself on the hunt for alternatives. But you know what? That's what opens up a whole new world of exploration and discovery, as I search for something that's more wallet-friendly, all while ensuring I still get that sweet quality service. Yeah, it's all about striking that perfect balance. PEACE ☮☮
Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts! Please keep me updated if you find a diamond in the rough out there
Do the fast hours roll oer in standard plan?
No, unfortunately
😮😮😮😮
If I can't own it I'm not paying for it. Which is why I love programs like Procreate. And you get all the updates. It's not A.I. but it's just an example. I'm an 80's baby. There's no way anybody from my generation should be falling for these monthly games. In 5 years how much would you have spent on a premium plan?
I know what you mean. Subscriptions are pretty frustrating. But this tech is also very expensive to run + ever changing. Like, I don't think my GPU could run Midjourney locally anyways, so I would need to rent a server - might as well do it through Midjourney
you just need to put it to use so you can earn a lot more than that subscription. the higher payment plan is actually private, you will own the pictures but you cant own the AI itself.
idk why they are too Un-Intelligent to add Paypal as a payment option
yah that's a bummer
We are getting charged by mid journey. $120 in the last couple months. Fraudulent shit.
sounds like you had the $60 plan for 2 months?
@@FutureTechPilot yes, under my wife’s debit card. Not anything she signed up for. From what I’ve read. It’s happening to others. Glad I caught it when I did.
This is such a scam dude the basic plan has a 100 dollar subscription fee 💀💀💀💀
no it doesn't
@@FutureTechPilot it does when you try to subscribe to the 8/month on Midjourney you have to pay 96 dollars today to activate the plan. That’s how much it charges in a whole year but it also asks you to pay that as an initial fee for today.
@@hems_am Weird! I have never heard of that happening and it didnt happen to me when I first signed up. Sorry you had to deal with that!
@@FutureTechPilot oh nah I didn’t purchase it lol I was just upset that’s how it works now like damn I just wanted to make some sick A.I generations lol
