I can't believe it's finally here! Consistent Style in Midjourney is actually possible now - even though we could technically do it previously with the remix feature - style references make the process way easier!! Midjourney V6 is amazing and the future is so overwhelmingly exciting

Excellent Video. :) Just a simplistic reminder(and i'm sure it's not necessary) for anyone new to MJ: if you don't have your default set to V6 when using --sref, you'll get an error. So if you prefer to keep it at another version, remember to add the --v 6 to the end of the prompt and before the --sref.

can you use /prefer suffix to automatically set --v 6 without having to type it, it adds it at the end of the prompt after the --sref, so does the order matter?

I think Style Reference is the greatest and most interesting feature that has ever come to Midjourney. Sure, you could prompt it and remix it to maybe get there, but -sref just… works. It’s very good. Great video and good tips about describing the style in the prompt itself.

@@FutureTechPilot I was already down to 10% which is why I was leaving it. It has to last me for 6 days until it ticks over again. I did a huge batch of stuff earlier in the month, not realising I'd left it on fast, and wondering why everything was appearing so quickly!

This would be amazing, to be able to command the locking of character and vary backgrounds or contexts with varying emotions -

Thanks again for an insightful and useful video on mastering Midjourney. You are my "go-to" for insights and tips. This feature is "da bomb" for creating consistency but also for generating artistic images from outside sources. 🎨

There is a similar feature for Stable Diffusion called "ip-adapter". I wonder if MJ is using the same thing under the covers.
Yah someone else pointed that out also - I know Midjourney doesn't use any open source stuff, but for sure they get inspiration from other communities!
