Man, I remember these old buses way back in the days. I'm riding on the modern city bus right now. As we speak as I'm typing this tax, thank you for the video.

I drove these GM Fishbowls in Denver in the 1970's through the 1990's when they retired them. The last 127 buses they bought had the 6V-71T Detroits and 4 speed Allison automatic transmissions and they screamed.

I remember riding these old junkers back when BC Transit was still in control of Metro Vancouver buses (before Translink was created). The windows, hard to open during summer.

Great video of one of the best buses ever to grace North American roads I think they should be nicknamed the AEC Routemaster of North America given there lineage and how realiable they are

Nice video of a classic (not to be confused with a GM Classic lol). Did this bus as part of its 1990s rebuild get power steering? The black shield window looks exactly like OC Transpo’s 1990s New Look power steering conversions. OC only retrofitted ‘74 and newer.

This bus is a 1966 TDH-4519. It was rebuilt in the early 1990’s and was in regular service until 2006. I would like to see a bus last 40 years today.

Not quite the same bus. This one in the video is a 35 footer built in 1966, the one in Calgary that you most likely saw is a 40 footer built in 1981.

Good grief, you aren't too demanding, are you? As the description stated, it was a fan tour with a historical bus - it isn't in the BC Transit fleet and hasn't been for probably 30 years. It probably started life operated by BC Hydro, who at the time operated much of the urban transit. I grew up in Victoria and rode buses like this (likely this very one) when I was a kid.
Because the video was taken from the back seat looking forward it was a bit hard to discern where all the locations were, but the first shot was from King George Terrace in Oak Bay, the bus turned onto Bay Street and went through the Royal Jubilee Hospital site in the City of Victoria , it drove through the Uplands area of Oak Bay, and ended on Mt. Tolmie in Saanich. Are you happy now?
