I completely agree! Marie's Schöneberg apartment is the perfect example of how blending vintage with modern design can create a truly unique and stylish space.
Shows that a sense of style doesn't just come from brands, it comes from personal pairing and attitude. I love collecting kislux bags in different designs. The replicas give me more options. Do what you love with your money.
Somehow I feel a lot better about my own poverty knowing that people in 1500€ apartments still hang their kitchen utensils on hooks on a rail and use True Fruits bottles for storage just like me...
She means that apartments in Germany often have no built-in kitchen. In fact, the room designated as a kitchen often only has the plumbing and electrical and gas attachments and is otherwise empty. Sometimes there is a kitchen (furniture and appliances) and you have to buy it from the previous owner. Many years ago Berlin apartments were required to have a sink and some means of cooking (either a stove with oven or at least a 2-burner hotplate) but this seems no longer to be the case.
its a thing. she talks bs. a lot of flats in germany have a kitchen. furthermore it can be complicated with the lawif yu have a kitchen already built in
@@jemandjemand2362 I think it depends on the age of the building and the city how common it is to have a built-in kitchen. My place in Berlin had an old IKEA kitchen when I moved in 22 years ago, but it is not a rental. The place I lived before (also in Berlin-Schöneberg) had only a tiny, old enameled cast-iron sink and a gas stove from the 1950s, but no cabinets and that was very common when I moved there in the mid-1980s.
Ok but a framed TV is SUCH a brilliant idea! Now I feel like I need one too 😍 Share your thoughts below on what you think of Marie’s space!
Wow the style is super cool! Love it!

I absolutely love it! She has so much talent 😍
Love what she did with the place! 😍
Such a great tour. Love the place!
Thank you so much! So happy you enjoyed it 😊
Beautiful apartment!
To be honest: Another sad story about the rental market in berlin. 1500€ for a total of 2 rooms?
Unfortunately this is pretty common at the moment in Berlin! 😕
In Munich this would be considered a bargain!
@@CaroSophie1 same in London, here a flat of that size would easily go for £2500-3000
Two to three years ahead people watching this video will comment: Oh wow, it was possible to get 2 rooms for less than 2000?! 😀
@ unfortunately that’s probably the sad reality…🥲

You are part of the problem of rising rents.

"Kitchen is not a thing in most German apartments" is the line upon which I died inside. Like how is it not a thing for any living accommodation?

Believe me the first time I heard most German rentals come without a built in kitchen I also died inside!
