@@slapslicks7531 I heard this song for the first time today. Indeed that single line has this attitude like "f-it, you have the picture i've painted for you in your head - I don't even need full sentences anymore."

This was the first album I bought of these guys back when this came out. I'm 53 now and youngest in the fam. Growing up listening to 70s and 80s rock, most of the music that was released after was disappointing IMO. Clutch is still old school Rock straight out of our younger days. I love these guys! I picked up several of there older releases on Vinyl afterwards.
forgerelli1 Clutch fan since 1994. They were one of the opening acts at my first live show. They played with Marilyn Manson and Monster Voodoo Machine at Ziggy's.. the original Ziggy's here in Winston Salem N.C. Grand days indeed...
Discovered Clutch opening for Corrosion Of Conformity in support of 'Elephant Riders' a loooong time ago. Has been to damn near every Pittsburgh show since. Hands down, the greatest rock n roll band ever. Not even disputable.
Tony Stewart I am jealous of you being exposed to them for the first time! Best damn touring band on the planet. I don't care what it says about me that I've seen them over 40 times since the 90s.
Tony Stewart Clutch's discography is one of the most diverse and unique that I have ever encountered, there is much to explore and like. A lot of different approaches that appeal in many ways, extremely diverse and enjoyable band.
Tony Stewart throwing a bone to the self titled 1995 album but seriously, there is not a bad album in the entire discography and from what I have already heard live Psychic Warfare will be no different
asstcommish Yes I am beginning to understand that they have a lot of great music. I am looking forward to getting to know it all.... I have no idea how I missed these guys.
Saw these guys live with mastodon a few years back. I was 17. Hadnt heard of them but my sister's ex (current at time) enticed me with Mastodon. Clutch was more cohesive, got the crowd going like Thorogood, and played with the bluesy energy of ZZ Top. I immediately fell in love. Earlier this month I took my girlfriend to a concert at the same place. I had sold her on Killswitch Engage but she wound up liking Clutch far more. They finished out with electric worry (of course) and this, and what a finish it was. Also the way he engages the kids (i mean below teenage) at concerts and emphasizes safety in the rowdiness is really great. I do love moshing but when small people are in the mix it's not a good place for them. They have a great, generic (not in a bad way) radio-friendly, subgenre and decade-spanning sound that anyone could get into. I favor them right up there with the likes of Foo Fighters and KMFDM, very different genres but subgenre spanning.
This album has to get them into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Nevermind the fact that their music has inspired most, they are and always has been the definition of what a rock band is.
Holy shit that was great! Why did it take me 5 years to watch a video? This is my favorite song and album from Clutch. Feels like the roof is gonna fly off when they play it live!
I hate to admit this, but initially, I wasn't a huge fan of Clutch's music. I was introduced to older albums, and I just couldn't quite groove to it. But then I saw them live, and it's as if the moment they walked on stage everything just clicked. I realized I was hearing the music, but not truly listening to it; not taking a moment to explore further into their other albums to find the appropriate songs that I knew I would've personally loved. And that's partly due to being force fed the same auto-tuned bullshit that's being played on the radio and halfheartedly having "rock and roll" slapped on the album cover. You kind of become deaf to real music. Ever since then though, I've become a huge fan. I feel good bands make good music, but it takes true talent to take someone whom initially didn't enjoy the tunes and turn them into a big fan via a LIVE SHOW. That and the show itself is simply outstanding. All members just emanate energy and passion. Love, love, love Clutch. They've honestly played the best and most honest live shows I have ever witnessed. I can't wait to see them play again.
I walked out on their set and spent the rest of it outside chainsmoking waiting for Mastodon to play. Came here to see if I could be convinced to like them, I still don't.
UncleLoodis The album Blast Tyrant sounds the most like this song, if that's what you're looking for. Listen to the WHOLE album, not a single track is skippable.

It took about 6 listens of their new album for it to grow on me....is pretty common with great albums where they won't click with me right away but i'll persist with them because I know there's something special in there. The lyrics are great, and goofy in neil's own inimitable way.
J.P. - you're always a blast to watch play those drums. This song is so killer!!!!!!! and the strangely sci-fi peter Gabriel "sledge-hammerish" style video is so good!!!!!

Steeped in tradition, but charged with a wilful, wayward energy all teir own, Clutch's role as rock'n'roll storytellers becomes more crucial with each album: carrying a torch, but bathing the roots of Americana in reevealing new lights. If Psychic Warfare sounds like a consolidation, it still brings Clutch's strongest characteristics into sharper, an more irresistible narrative relief. Clutch is the perfect combination of blues, rock, funk and metal.
it's called hard rock, buddy
Blues, Jazz, Classical, Country. The Genres that form together and make Rock n roll.
That explains why I like them. I am usually not a metal fan....blues, rock n funk fan. 😅
I call them the modern CCR, that perfect mix of funky voodoo, deep south sound mixed with rock and southern rock.

But I agree they do look like bbq dads .
They got Metallica beat on that.

I also think that a Clutch BBQ is way more hotter than a Ulrich one 😁
This is one of the best choruses in a rock song I've ever heard. It's INSANE.

going to go to a concert with Clutch and Primus soon, saying im going to rock out is an understatement.
Just discovered them through a friend. Right up this old lady's alley. Enjoyed!
Though your comment is 4 years old, I had to stop and say, _"Dynamite, Judy!" "Keep on rocking!"_
Totally addictive this song, underrated for sure!
Any band that can use the word "Dy-no-mite" in a rocking tune like this deserves mad props! Love me some Clutch.
I want to play an RPG set in whatever the hell universe inspires these lyrics; sounds like a crazy awesome good time.
They are just 4 guys having fun with this song. I have fun singing it
I played this for my kitten and now it's still a kitten but it's much happier.

Love this 1950s/1960s vibe they have going on in this video...Groovy man...
I am completely in awe of this band and their new album , FUCKIN MASTERPIECE
How am I just finding out that these dudes exist? How does this happen?? How many years have I been deprived???
Go search out blast tyrant. Their best album Imo.
Many years man haha! They formed in 1991 so there's plenty of albums to dig through. Blast Tyrant and the self titled are the ones I recommend most
