Bringing the daily mourinho news to the Irish guy Roma have played in one of the most entertaining game in Europe this season from any match. It was a must win game for them. They had to beat Bulgarian champions ludogorets at home and they played really well. In the first half they had more possessions. More shots. More shots on target and very entertaining football but they did concede a goal from a brilliant strike from ludogorets who finished the half 1-0 up. Jose had to come up with a plan. He made 3 substitutions at half time bringing Zaniolo on to play more attacking with Tammy Abraham and it worked. Zaniolo was fouled in the box which gave roma a penalty to go level 1-1. They were still out of the competition at that point. Then 10 minutes later zaniolo took the ball and ran inside the box before getting fouled again one on one straight penalty 2 goals for pelligrini the capitan and roma was 2-1 up. Both penalties very obvious VAR didn't even have to be called. But then ludogorets scored a goal to go 2-2 but the goal was ruled out for a foul in the build up and that decision was a bit harsh. Regardless a few minutes later Zaniolo again who was on fire took the ball. Went pass 4 players and scored to go 3-1 up with 5 minutes to go which killed the game for good. In additional times a ludogoret player stepped on a Roma player's face which was a straight red card but at that point the game was done and dusted and mourinho was thrilled with his team after the game "In my opinion this was our best performance this season. It shuts the mouth of those who say that we are defensive. Today was proper champagne football from minute 1 to minute 90. My boys were fantastic and we understood that we wanted to stay in the Europa league. We won the conference league we don't want to go back there again. This is an evolution process.
