    Looks fantastic, what a great experience. We visited Kalaw and trekked to Inle Lake, would've loved to see something like this - well done!

      this town was in between Kalaw and Inle Lake - so glad we had an opportunity to experience this!

    It looked an amazing ceremony to actually experience in person. It's a bit different from what happened on my 16th birthday, I think I just got a trip to the cinema.

    Myanmar is such a mysterious place to me. I know nothing about it. Can anyone join these festivities and enter others homes? Was it a tour?

      Yes! you can see this! If you go to Kalaw - there is a place called Sam's Trekking. They arranged a guide to explain what was happening, and introduce the families that allowed us into their homes.
