    You got that grip head on the wrong side, if it starts to fall down then it'll loosen. Put it facing to the right side so if it falls forward, it tightens. It's a good and very important habit to avoid making your sets unsafe.

      You're absolutely right, thank you for reaching out! I know this and we place importance on this on the film sets I work on as well. There are a few different styles of grip heads. The one I use on the c-stands in my videos here on the channel are heavy duty, and have teeth that were designed to lock it in place when tightened, whether on the left side or the right. And can hold a significant amount of weight on either side. Since I was filming alone, was pressed for time and was only using it for negative fill, I just quickly pieced my C-stand together and wasn't concerned that it wouldn't hold the weight.
      But this is an easy fix. We should always be in the practice of righty tighty no matter what style grip head we are using to ensure safety every time. So I want to thank you for bringing that to my attention and I will be sure that I will always place the grip arm on the right side in future videos.
      Thank you for watching the video and for reaching out, it really means a lot. Cheers!

    So good! New way to think about this for me. I've never really thought about *reducing* light... reminds me of EQ'ing audio, where it's often preferred to use _subtractive_ EQ to remove unwanted frequencies vs. _additive_ EQ to boost the desired ones... this will help me remember the concept. Thank you!

    • @foxandcrowncreative
      @foxandcrowncreative  ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely, that's a really great way of thinking about it! Subtractive EQ is such a great concept, I'll have to keep that in mind as well. Thanks for watching my friend!
