I've seen the Osees a few times but my favorite John Dwyer story is seeing Ty Segall at the Teragram when I needed a cane for mobility. John saw me standing up leaning on my cane and offered me his chair. Class act.
That was a really enjoyable interview, I think you charmed him! Nice work, you've got a subscriber. Props to Dwyer for only doing interviews with up and coming youngsters, what a gent.
Yup, love those later Beefheart LP's--it's Eric Drew Feldman who played with TMB and Pere Ubu. First discovered Mr. Dwyer because the Coachwhips record, Bangers Vs. Fuckers, was on Narnack, which was The Fall's US label. This was obviously around the "garage rock revival" and Coachwhips made 99% of those bands sound like The Carpenters, or something. Great fucking interview mate, John has put out so many great records it's fucking insane. MOACOH is one of my favourite records of all time.
Nice interview, just discovered this guy yesterday, my new favorite band, funny that you started off with that Beefheart question, one of the tracks I was listening to reminded me of FZ, really excited to delve into this huge catalog.
@@JInterviews-1234 My friend took me to see them without showing me any music. I could sense the massive anticipation in the crowd before they walked on stage, but I had no inclination of the events that were about to unfold. The experience changed the way I look at instruments, bands, and music forever. I am excited for you. No video of them playing live can even scratch the surface of the energy they bring. Thank you John Dwyer and the plethora of musicians through the years that have given our future generations something to aspire to!

Great interview. Just gotta lose the room sound,
any kind of close mic would yield much higher audio clarity on your end. \m/
