If that place looked like it did in the 70's and early 80's and had been managed properly, we'd be mentioning it with the same reverence as Redmire and Ashley Pool.......lots of memories for me fishing there many moons ago

It’s a tricky lake so not surprised with the blank, it’s always worth a go though! Not been up to Abingdon for a while but I’m sure I’ll see you up there 👍

Propperjob caramel latte, healthy dose of baileys instead of milk, brought along in empty coke bottle, jobs a goodun on a chilly West Country evening 👍

Dip your boiliees in Bailey's in winter, works a treat in winter co of the alcohol

I would actually put some time in on here if the day ticket purchase wasn’t the fact you have to visit a tackle shop every single time even after purchasing a membership!
You get the day tickets in advance mate, I just buy 5/10 at a time 👍
Yeah same! I buy a few at a time. As you can date them for when you go, and pop them it in the box on the day.

@TheFishingBloggers why so? Could they not limit it to 3 or 4 people per night and book in advance? Surely the fish will see daylight as danger if that's the only time they get caught.
I have that issue on a lake I fish, have to wait till dark else the fish don't like to play ball
@@weeeeee374 they have about 4/5 night matches each year. There are houses next to it so the 2100 finish time is a push with them complaining about torches etc
@@TheFishingBloggers imagine moving next to a fishery and complaining about it afterwards 🤦 but least the lake owner is working with them to find compromise I guess. Still sucks 😡
@@weeeeee374 the lake has got busier and busier over the years, I’m sure when they got the house it was no where near the fishery it is today. It’s frustrating being days only, but it’s nice having limited time as it’s more challenging and different to other venues.
