The current run of the Fission Rhythm also has the glide number bumped up to 5.5 from 5.0. There's a noticeable difference in flight from this run compared to the Neutron discs I have. Great mold.
I love the Inertia and the Wave. They are my favorite drivers for sure. I bag 3 Waves in my bag in different plastics and lighter weights for my older arm. Have fun throwing everybody!
I bag both the Inertia and Rhythm. Lovely discs. My proton inertia is much more flippy than any other plastic I've tried. I do believe mine is also a bit lighter weight, though.
Grab that Vanish and throw it on a field with a crosswind (Choose forehand/backhand to throw 'Back to the wind') on a light Hyzer... and tell me what you think... (have a shot with the other flippies too)... with the wind we have here in Wellington NZ, I want to MARRY my Bounty for it's performance with the above described shot.
Almost all of my bag is understable! Love the Rhythm, but everyone should also check out the Insanity, Signal, or Uplink (hyzerflip machine). If you do any more understable MVP family brands, my favorites are the Mantra, Nuance, and Lobster from TSA and Mint, respectfully. They are money!
Tend to prefer the Axiom Insanity over the Inertia but definitely a good disc. Vanish is a good disc but Streamline Jet is really what the vanish should be like based on the numbers. In my general experience with MVP, which is all I bag, their molds tend to break into their numbers and are a little more stable out the box. Work em in a little bit and they fly more consistent to the numbers… my stupid opinion for what it’s worth.
I bag two Rhythm discs. A 175 Neutron, and a 171 Fission. That 171 Fission is almost so perfect, if you're looking for a "hyzer flip Crave" or a "full flex with fade Crave". It stays in the bag. I can't imagine a disc in the lineup that would kick it out of it's spot.
I bag a 165g fission rhythm and it’s a hyzer flip machine. I get massive turn and glide when I throw it high enough. I also bag a really beat in 159g fission insanity that is a faster version of this same flight.
Streamline Drift (7 5 -2 1) Proton was in my bag for a long time as a beginner. As usual, I started trying different discs before working on my form, so it got pushed out of my bag and I haven't thrown it in a long time. Maybe it's time to take it to the field and see how it flies for me now.
I recently added the Drift (in Neutron) back in to my bag. It sort of lost its usefulness as my power picked up and I was just juicing everything as it was too flippy. Now that I'm working on touch, the Drift has become a staple again. Basically it's exactly what I wish my Leopards were.
You are correct. The flight numbers reflect what it use to fly like in the patent pending molds of the Vanish. New molds were made when they moved production in-house to work with their current machines. This was one of the very few molds that got jacked up during this process. MVP either needs to redo the mold to fly like it was intended to (like the original patent pending run), or OOP it ....IMO.
I am a firm believer that MVP/Axiom discs are better in their lighter weights specifically their Fairways & drivers, not just in fission. 160 to 170g

Gotta try the Signal, underrated!

Definitely try a streamline shift as well

I threw a Vanish once. Haven't seen it since.
Nuetron Inertia is my fav fairway. Forhand and backhand. So so fire
I like the inertia, the vanish, and the orbital. I have different weights in all of them.
Love the Rhythm!

Dude what paddle do you pickle with?

Forgot to mention I also bag that Vanish. Full flex forehand shots for me all day, due to my t-rex arms.
Axiom Insanity is one of my favourites.

I love the woods testing ground. Music a little loud
Usually lighter discs thrown with power become increasingly flippy, true?

Drift is a great disc

The vanish is horrible if you want it to actually like the numbers suggest. Seems to be a very common take amongst MVP throwers
