Firstly, Mysuru is not a small town 😂 It's a historic city. It's the cultural capital of Karnataka ( ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ನಗರಿ ).. Mysuru is the place where goddess Chamundi or Durga or Amma Chamundeshwari killed the demon Mahishasura and took over the place. She then stayed at Chamundi hills at the top of Mysuru protecting the people. Hence visiting Chamundi Hills is conaidered v auspicious 😍 That's why we celebrate Dasara in South India. In North, Deepawali and Dasara are celebrated for killing of Ravana and Rama's coming back respectively. But in south, we celebrate Deepawali for the killing of ravana and Dasara for the killing of Mahishasura ❤❤❤ Mysuru Dasara is so famous that foreigners come here to watch the celebrations. Mysuru is famous for Mylari Dose, Hanumanthu Biryani, Mysuru Pak in Guru sweets etc. It is also famous for Mysuru Veelyadele (Fresh Beetel leaves), Mysuru Mallige (Mysuru Jasmine flower) etc.. Lastly, In Mysuru or anywhere in Karnataka, it hurts to hear Dosa. ITt's '''DOSEY"' : MYLARI DOSEY

Dude you forgot the iconic Mysuru Brindavan Garden, designed by M. Viswesvarayya! It is so beautiful especially in the morning and in the evening you can see sound and light show. PS Personally felt mylari dosa is overrated.
Now a days taste and quality is not so good. But before around 10 years ago my friend recommended that hotel.. I still remember the taste and I have never eaten dose like that
There is one more thing, Rocky's castle from KGF movie is also in Mysuru and you can either book it for stay or just book a ticket to visit the place and click extremely amazing pictures
I really feel sad whenever I visit Mysore from my Bengaluru as now for the new lengthy Road u can reach in just 1 n half hours....people have dirtied it to the extreme n government is so careless....I just pray God to give back the 2 cities as they were in the past....😢😢😢
Istg the only amazing thing at Mysuru was Karenji lake and Chamundi hill. The palace is always over-crowded. The Chamundi hill Devi temple is amazing but it has a very long queue for darshan. The journey to Chamundi hill is super fun though. And and u will not find many decent restaurants at all …..It’s a very clean city but also a very boring city!
My plan:- get up early in the morning, go to chamundi hills see the sunrise, there will be a temple there after the sunrise point(visit it if you bathed), go to the place he said to eat dosa(we also went there to eat). Go to palace(avoid scams at palace or on the way to palace by auto walas), have lunch chill out for some time, go to sunset point(same location as sunrise point but just opposite side of road or mountain). You can go to Karanji lake instead of chilling out but then you could miss the sunset view. And also as far as I know the prices for the boat rides will be very high. Or you can just visit the Mysore zoo(its the 3rd best zoo in India). And visit the remaining things next day. Thats it.
The most very very important than any other in mysuru, is Queen of Mysuru Goddess Chamundi, without her Darshan Mysore trip is incomplete. It is said that satis body pieces fell on Earth in few places places, sati's hair's fell on Chamundi hills, and in Chamundi avathar she killed mahishasura here,a very very powerful place where Maa Chamundi resides
The original Mysore Pak is the hard one, the soft one is the not the original version, it is the next generation. Is Maysuru the real pronounciation of Mysore?
If you go to Mysuru, trip is incomplete without "Chamundaai Devi Darshana" & have eaten Mysore pak & shop some mysore silk saree for your family😂✌
