- When it comes to music, what is tempo? This is an important one to know as tempo is used in every piece of music. Tempo is the Italian word for speed. Now, the tempo is not written in English. The tempo is also written in Italian! Watch now to learn what different tempos are and their actual speeds (Beats per minute).
The link below contain the cheat sheet sheet of the tempos and their beats per minute:

It really helped me with my homework. My teacher assigned this to me now I know what tempo means fully!
Wonderful! Glad I could help!
im 23, but learning this the kids way was joyful, thank you Ma'am.
Glad I could help! It's a lot more fun that way.
Just a couple of corrections for you in case you want to edit them :) ....In your description, it says 'beats per measure', but it should be 'beats per minute'. Also, in the intro graphics, some of the note stems are backwards....notes should never look like q's or b's, they should always look like p's or d's.....hope that helps!
Thank you! I'll go back & correct the description. & I hired an editor to cut this & at the time, I didn't notice the notes stems were backwards. Thank you!

Isn't there is Presto..?
Yes! Presto is Very very fast! Which is 168-200bpm. & even faster is Prestissimo!
@@MusiciansAddition Oh okay, I was just asking why it wasn't in the video.
@@angiecajayon6959 I cover mainly videos for just learning musicians & most beginners can't play that fast or even see it in their music.
@@MusiciansAddition Okay!
Okay okay so I have another question you might be thinking why is this kid making so much comment okay so this is my last question did you used moderato
No worries! Feel free to ask as much as you need! I did go over moderato. It's at timemark 2:55
Thank you
Please practice the pronunciation of the Italian tempo terms =Moderato (mod ehr ah toh); Vivace (vee vah. cheh NOT vevase!); Ritardando (rih tar dahn doh); Accellerando (Ah chell ehr ahn doh).
Thank you! The way I pronounced them was how my teachers had taught me. Of course, I'd rather have it right. I will work on it. Thank you.
thanks
Do you only teach music ?
Yeah, music is where I'm most knowledgeable. Did you need help with something else?
Yes
Do you know Spanish by any chance ?
Because I'm going to have test on Spanish
You have a friend that knows Spanish and English
Wheres the tempo in the music..
It's usually written on the top of the piece. Right above the first measure. Sometimes, if there's a tempo change, it'll mark it at that measure. It's not always written out. Sometimes it's written with a quarter = a number. & sometimes, the music doesn't disclose the tempo.
Is she a music teacher cool
